This book was released on 2022-04-27 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: How to predict the structure life time? Really my Ph.D about concrete structure reliability and its probability of failure with considering the corrosion effect. I did also many researches about concrete structure, steel and offshore structures failures and its reliability but this questions raised to me from 10 years in one on my courses in Dubai. From that date I spent many times and collect many researches about how to know the structure remaining life time really it is very complicated questions and different from structure to another. Based on that I published many books about corrosion, structure evaluation, quality control and then my book about assessment evaluation and repair concrete, steel and offshore structures, I try to address this point. The experimental technique and pushover analysis is discussed also. It is very important to highlight that in mature structure if you try to design it or evaluate it will be unsafe. I wish to delete this statement from your mind during evaluation mature structure "UNSAFE", but say it is violating to the existing code but how long it can live until failure that we discuss about it here in this book. For this eBook I focus about answering this question and provide many references can be used also in case for future reading. If you have any inquiry or questions or special case need to discuss let do not hesitate to contact me.

Book An Evaluation of Equipment and Procedures for Tensile Bond Testing of Concrete Repairs

Download or read book An Evaluation of Equipment and Procedures for Tensile Bond Testing of Concrete Repairs written by Alexander M. Vaysburd and published by . This book was released on 1999 with total page 88 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: If the durability of repaired concrete structures is a primary objective of any repair project, then every effort should be made to ensure adequate bonding between the repair and the existing concrete substrate. A total of 257 partial-depth cores in 77 experimental repairs were tested in Florida, Illinois, and Arizona in order to evaluate the effect of material properties and environmental conditions on the bond between repair and concrete substrate. Three pull-off testing devices were used to determine the bond strengths for each of the experimental repairs. In addition, the testing devices themselves were evaluated by analyzing the magnitude and relative precision of the pull-off strengths, modes of failure, and ease of use in an effort to identify a reliable and practical device for determining in situ tensile bond. The optimum depth of core drilling into the existing substrate was determined by comparing theoretical finite element analysis of failure zone stress distribution with measured test results.
