Questa ricerca si basa sull'importanza dell'attenzione all'ascolto in classe e vuole verificare un collegamento possibile tra un'educazione all'ascolto in famiglia (ascolto musicale) e l'ascolto all'interno della classe. Si ipotizza che un bambino abituato ad ascoltare musica a casa quando dovrà prestare attenzione durante attività d'ascolto senza supporto visivo, come per esempio le consegne, avrà meno difficoltà . La tipologia della ricerca adottata è di impronta qualitativa e principalmente svolta in due fasi. La prima fase prevede una raccolta dati attraverso un questionario. I dati del questionario serviranno per identificare due caratteri di soggetti. Bambini che ascoltano musica e bambini che non ascoltano musica. Nella seconda fase i soggetti verranno osservati nel loro comportamento durante un'attività d'ascolto senza supporto visivo, più precisamente delle consegne. I risultati analizzati e interpretati rispecchiano l'idea dell'ipotesi iniziale, ma tuttavia bisogna comunque tener conto del campione di riferimento e per questo motivo non si può generalizzare la valutazione dei risultati ottenuti.
