Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A publication on the Arya Dharma (Noble Dharma) – A better way by a unique combination of our heritage, spirituality and current affairs by going back to the future and restoring the glory of Bharat(India) by returning to its ideals of Dharma and Seva. My book applies not only to Bharat, but to the entire world. Reader reviews regarding my book is given here : https://aryadharma.world/index/feedback-from-readers/. Bharata has the greatest history, heritage and culture ever possessed by any civilization in the history of the Universe. It is a real shame of what we have become today because we blindly try to ape and emulate the fraud FUKUS (France, UK, USA) systems of “casino capitalism” and “paid democracy” which are totally unsuitable not only to us, but to any country on this planet, and especially harmful to Nature, the supreme embodiment of Brahman (God). It really makes you wonder about the state of this world, when the priceless Amazon rain forest is valued at only $20 million, and the Amazon online shopping website is valued at almost a trillion dollars. It really makes you wonder about the state of this world, when the top 1% possesses more than 47% percent of the global wealth, while the bottom half still worries about scrounging for their next meal. If Bharat must have any hope of restoring its past glory, it must abandon the fraud FUKUS systems which place only money and self-interest as their guiding principle, and return to Dharma and SEVA (Selfless Sacrifice) which were our eternal guiding principles that were laid down ever since Ram Rajya. Dharma and SEVA were the guiding principles of the Golden Era of Bharat, when we surpassed even the Roman, Greek and Persian empires and even made a world conqueror like Alexander retreat in fearful haste without even daring to fight us. If the systems mentioned in this publication are adopted in the world, it would surely lead to a Utopian Society where there is no king, religion, greed and selfishness and all the subjects would be governing themselves following the highest order of Dharma called Arya Dharma (The Noble Dharma).

Book The Revival of Buddhist Pilgrimage at Bodh Gaya 1811 1949

Download or read book The Revival of Buddhist Pilgrimage at Bodh Gaya 1811 1949 written by Alan Trevithick and published by Motilal Banarsidass Publishe. This book was released on 2006 with total page 280 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Alan Trevithick spent three years researching primary documents in New Delhi, Sarnath, Colombo, and London, in order to present this history (1874-1949) of the Mahabodhi Temple at Bodh Gaya. This is the first such account, and it details for the first time the administrative, legal and legislative activities which shaped the temple`s current status as one of the world`s most popular pilgrimage sites. Also included is an innovative biographical essay on Anagarika Dharmapala, the Sinhalese activist who first came to India in the late 19th century as a guest of the Theosohical society: his subsequent actions substantially affected the development of Bodh Gaya as a site of international importance.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: An inspiring and fascinating look at people’s religious experiences and beliefs. Visions of Mary and glimpses of God. Weeping statues, exorcisms, near-death experiences, mystical labyrinths, and more than 250 other unusual and unexplained phenomena, apparitions, and extraordinary experiences rooted in religious beliefs are explored in The Encyclopedia of Religious Phenomena. J. Gordon Melton, the Distinguished Professor of American Religious History at the Institute for Studies of Religion, Baylor University, takes readers on a tour among angels, Marian apparitions, and religious figures such as Jesus, the Buddha, Muhammad, and Tao Tzu. Melton reports on dreams, feng shui, statues that bleed, snake handling, speaking in tongues, stigmata, relics—including the Spear of Longinus and the Shroud of Turin—and sacred locales such as Easter Island, the Glastonbury Tor, the Great Pyramids, Mecca, Sedona, and much more. Each entry includes a description of a particular phenomenon and the religious claims being made about it as well as a discussion of what scientists say about it. Transcending the mundane, the entries take no sides on who is right or wrong: the journey is the experience and the experience is the journey. This fascinating encyclopedia is illustrated with 100 pictures and includes a detailed index and additional reading recommendations. It lets you experience the marvels of weeping statues and icons; exorcisms and ecstasy; the grilled cheese sandwich kit for making your own Virgin Mary image; and so much more.

Book The Way of the Buddha Classic Reprint

Download or read book The Way of the Buddha Classic Reprint written by Herbert Baynes and published by Forgotten Books. This book was released on 2017-12 with total page 144 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Excerpt from The Way of the Buddha The object of this little book is to give the reader a succinct account of an Eastern sage whose doctrine of the Path has been accepted by millions of the human race, and whose influ ence is still felt at the ends of the earth. What is generally understood by Buddhism will be found to differ greatly from the way of emancipation here set forth. And for this reason Unlike all other religions, Buddhism began with out God and without prayer, and ended in be coming a most elaborate system of polytheism with a superstitious multiplication of collects. Up to the time of Asoka, about 250 b.o., it seems to have remained comparatively pure; but by the thirteenth century a.d., when the revival of Brahmanism drove it from India, it had assumed in other countries so many new features as to be hardly recognisable. Nor should this be a matter for great surprise. When an essentially Aryan religion or system of philosophy is transplanted to Turanian lands it is not to be expected that it will remain unchanged. The contrast between the teaching of the Christ and of His apostles, and the Christianity of Rome in the Middle Ages is indeed great, but the difference between the Buddhism of Tibet and the Dharma of Sakya Muni 1s greater still. The history of the faith In all the lands m which it has taken root is far too vast a subject for our present purpose, but a general outline of its rise and fall in Aryavarta. Book Buddhism Christianity and the Question of Creation

Download or read book Buddhism Christianity and the Question of Creation written by Perry Schmidt-Leukel and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2016-12-05 with total page 300 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Is the world created by a divine creator? Or is it the constant product of karmic forces? The issue of creation was at the heart of the classic controversies between Buddhism and Hindu Theism. In modern times it can be found at the centre of many polemical debates between Buddhism and Christianity. Is this the principal barrier that separates Buddhism from Christianity and other theistic religions? The contributions to Part One explore the various aspects of traditional and contemporary Buddhist objections against the idea of a divine creator as well as Christian possibilities to meet the Buddhist critique. Part Two asks for the potential truth on both sides and suggests a surprising way that the barrier might be overcome. This opens a new round of philosophical and theological dialogue between these two major traditions with challenging insights for both. Contributors: José I. Cabezón, John P. Keenan, Armin Kreiner, Aasulv Lande, John D'Arcy May, Eva K. Neumaier, Perry Schmidt-Leukel, Ernst Steinkellner.
