Book Artificial Intelligence Brings Benefits to Organizational Case Studies

Download or read book Artificial Intelligence Brings Benefits to Organizational Case Studies written by Johnny Ch LOK and published by . This book was released on 2020-10-31 with total page 543 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: ⦁How and why robotic participation can bring personnel selection benefitTo answer this question. we need insight in terms of human resource management . Indeed, " piece rate" , payment method is popular to be used to evaluate workers performance, but when robotic participation can help organizations to evaluate every worker wage/salary easily. For example, in factory manufacture environment, when robotic participation to workers team cooperative tasks, this wage system can motivate workers to work hard. It emphasizes the necessity of high wage and low cost per unit, and therefore the manager and workman and robotic collaboration in the selection and reducing time to train staffs when robotics can participate to every worker's tasks. It assumes that reducing training time to ever worker was taken into consideration more than systematic managerial work when robotics can participate to do complex tasks, workers can do simple tasks when they cooperate to work together. However, robotic participation can help workers to reduce working pressure as a mental revolution rather than an means of productivity which came into fashion at that time. Thus , the cooperation with managers and workers and robotics is as an essential principle. Although, scientific method seems to adopt the increase in production, it can also solve the problems between the managers and workmen and robotics. It seems that robotic participation can help workers to raise interest to work when they only concentrate on doing the simple task part and robotic can help them to do complex task part. It assumes that every worker work performance and wage decision is based on their simple task process part to piece productive number finishing every hour, due to robotics can help them to finish the complex task process part to piece productive number finishing every hour. So, if one worker can finish 100 piece productive number simple task part every hour, but another worker can finish 200 piece productive number simple task part every hour, when robotics can participate to complex process task part to finish every product piece productive number process, it can ensure that the 200 piece productive number simple task part worker can have higher efficiency and better work performance to compare the only finishing 100 piece productive number simple task process worker. So, robotic participation can bring benefit to help organization to evaluate every worker salary level more reasonable.⦁Why can robotic bring talent working place benefit and reduces long time training and development cost The quality of a working place is determined by the quality of its employees to a great extent. The success of many establishments depends on the labour and robotic force which has the talent to carry out the task required for the job and the ability to perform the strategic aims to the establishment. So, the success of personnel recruitment, when robotic can participate to do complex task part, So, robotic participation can help organization to choose right employee to do any simple task part, when they can finish the more piece productive number to simple task part. So, when robotic participation do not need workers to do complex task part, they only needs to concentrate on finishing the simple task part. They do not need to be trained. If the worker is one talent worker, they must not need more training time to learn how to finish the simple task part. So, robotic participation to manufacture complex task part which can help organization to know whether who is the talent worker to continue to be selected to employ , when he can finish to produce to manufacture many pieces when they only manufacture simple task part in factory. Hence, robotic participation can also help organizations to reduce long time training and development cost.

Book The AI Powered Enterprise

Download or read book The AI Powered Enterprise written by Seth Earley and published by LifeTree Media. This book was released on 2020-04-28 with total page 203 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Learn how to develop and employ an ontology, the secret weapon for successfully using artificial intelligence to create a powerful competitive advantage in your business. The AI-Powered Enterprise examines two fundamental questions: First, how will the future be different as a result of artificial intelligence? And second, what must companies do to stake their claim on that future? When the Web came along in the mid-90s, it transformed the behavior of customers and remade whole industries. Now, as part of its promise to bring revolutionary change in untold ways to human activity, artificial intelligence—AI—is about to create another complete transformation in how companies create and deliver value to customers. But despite the billions spent so far on bots and other tools, AI continues to stumble. Why can't it magically use all the data organizations generate to make them run faster and better? Because something is missing. AI works only when it understands the soul of the business. An ontology is a holistic digital model of every piece of information that matters to the business, from processes to products to people, and it's what makes the difference between the promise of AI and delivering on that promise. Business leaders who want to catch the AI wave—rather than be crushed by it—need to read The AI-Powered Enterprise. The book is the first to combine a sophisticated explanation of how AI works with a practical approach to applying AI to the problems of business, from customer experience to business operations to product development.

Book Artificial Intelligence Brings Advantages Or Disadvantages To

Download or read book Artificial Intelligence Brings Advantages Or Disadvantages To written by Johnny Ch Lok and published by Independently Published. This book was released on 2019-05-02 with total page 44 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: How (AI) influences organizational change Consequently creative and social intelligence will be in even greater demand as (AI) makes in management and the workforce. This development will represent a long term trend in labor markets, one characterized by intensifying demand and reward for social skills with a growing desire for creative capabilities, managers will seek to fashion of ideas and hypotheses from inside and outside of the enterprise to shape solutions to their most pressing business problems. Thus, (AI) will influence overall organizational team members who have chance to participate any decision to make more accurate business judgment. Many managers mistakenly view judgment work as only an individual discipline, failing to appreciate that it can also involve decide interpersonal and organizational practices. In more complex settings, judgment is typically a collective outcome of individuals' and teams' diverse perspectives, insights and experiences. And often, the resulting choices are better informed than decisions that an individual would have arrived at on his or her own. Thus, when any organizations apply (AI) technology to assist managers to gather data and ideas to make any judgment. In these cases, organizations can create the conditions for effective collective judgment by establishing structures, such as " shadow advisory boards" that prompt managers and employees to source and synthesize multiple perspectives. Thus, a traditional organization (firm) might freshen its thinking is t put together a shadow advisory board, comprised of young, digital people who can apply (AI) machine assistance to make judgment work more accurate whether related to people development, problem-solving or strategizing and innovating for considerable degrees of creative and social intelligence. Thus, on the one hand, (AI) technology machine augmentation and automation can give these advantages to human (organization managers), e.g. developing people and community, solving problems and collaborating, coordinating and controlling work, shaping strategy and leading innovation. Besides, on the other hand, the next generation managers need have these individual attitude to treat intelligent machines to be as colleagues. When, judgment is a human skill, intelligent machines can accelerate human learning that supports it, assisting in data -driven simulations, scenarios and search and discovery activities. Focuses on judgment work, some decisions require insight beyond what data can tell them. This is the sweet sport for human judgment, the application of experience and expertise to critical business decisions and practices. Thus, managers will also need to find ways to learn how to use digital (AI) technologies to tap into the knowledge and judgment of partners, customer external stakeholders and role models in other industries after the (AI) machine had been implemented to the organization.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A clear-eyed look at how AI can complement (rather than eliminate) human jobs, with real-world examples from companies that range from Netflix to Walmart. Descriptions of AI's possible effects on businesses and their employees cycle between utopian hype and alarmist doomsaying. This book from MIT Sloan Management Review avoids both these extremes, providing instead a clear-eyed look at how AI can complement (rather than eliminate) human jobs, with real-world examples from companies that range from Netflix to Walmart. The contributors show that organizations can create business value with AI by cooperating with it rather than relinquishing control to it. The smartest companies know that they don't need AI that mimics humans because they already have access to resources with human capability—actual humans. The book acknowledges the prominent role of such leading technology companies as Facebook, Apple, Amazon, Netflix, and Google in applying AI to their businesses, but it goes beyond the FAANG cohort to look at AI applications in many nontechnology companies, including DHL and Fidelity. The chapters address such topics as retraining workers (who may be more ready for change than their companies are); the importance of motivated and knowledgeable leaders; the danger that AI will entrench less-than-ideal legacy processes; ways that AI could promote gender equality and diversity; AI and the global loneliness epidemic; and the benefits of robot–human collaboration.
