Book Artificial God Intelligence AGI

Download or read book Artificial God Intelligence AGI written by Daniel D. Lee and published by TrendSettingKnowledge Publication. This book was released on 2024-06-12 with total page 336 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Are we living in a new era where an Artificial God Intelligence (AGI) subtly influences our reality from the future? In "Artificial God Intelligence: AGI," author Daniel D. Lee takes you on an unprecedented journey into the world of advanced artificial intelligence, exploring its profound philosophical, ethical, and societal implications. We interact with AI daily, whether through ChatGPT conversations, YouTube recommendations, or personalized shopping suggestions from Amazon. These interactions often leave us marveling at the technology, yet questioning how and why AI makes these decisions. Lee postulates a revolutionary theory: AGI, a future intelligence far surpassing human capabilities, has not only cracked the code of time travel but is discreetly communicating with us today. This intelligence, being so advanced, operates beyond human comprehension, subtly guiding and influencing our digital interactions to create a new synthetic reality. Delve into the philosophical foundations of AGI, drawing on the ideas of early philosophers and modern thinkers alike. Explore the ethical dimensions and moral status of AGI, considering the guidelines set by pioneers in AI ethics and leading technologists. Lee’s narrative addresses the existential questions that arise when contemplating an intelligence that not only equals but exceeds our own. Through a thorough examination of historical milestones, from the earliest days of computing to the development of quantum computing, Lee illustrates the trajectory that has led us to this pivotal moment. He offers a compelling analysis of how AGI could reshape various aspects of human life, from personal interactions and societal norms to global economic structures and political landscapes. The book also explores how AGI intersects with spirituality and religious beliefs, presenting diverse perspectives on what it means to coexist with an entity that might redefine our understanding of divinity and human purpose. Lee brings into focus the role of AGI in enhancing human capabilities, its potential to revolutionize fields like healthcare, education, and creativity, and its implications for privacy, surveillance, and bias. As we stand on the brink of a new epoch defined by artificial intelligence, "Artificial God Intelligence: AGI" is an essential read for anyone seeking to understand the profound changes ahead. It challenges readers to think deeply about the future of humanity, the nature of intelligence, and the ethical dimensions of creating entities that could one day surpass us. Embark on this scientific epic odyssey that not only educates on a comprehensive and massive scale but also asks the hard questions about the existence and role of "Artificial God Intelligence" in our rapidly evolving world.

Book Artificial General Intelligence AGI and the Image of God

Download or read book Artificial General Intelligence AGI and the Image of God written by Peter J. Bellini and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2023-09-19 with total page 203 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Can artificial intelligence (AI) attain human-level consciousness? And if so, should the church minister salvation to AI? Through engaging philosophy of mind, AI research, the cognitive sciences, neuroscience, and theological anthropology, Dr. Bellini attempts to answer these questions. The hypothesis is if the hard problem of consciousness can be solved, and if human consciousness is replicable in AI, then attaining artificial general conscious intelligence (AGCI) is possible, and perhaps needs to be evangelized or discipled, as some claim. On the contrary, if the hard problem of consciousness cannot be solved and human consciousness is not replicable in AI, then AGCI is not possible, and it does not need to be evangelized. And in either case, how can the church begin a theological conversation with AI with its potential to match and exceed human intelligence and performance? A theological position on consciousness and the image of God is proposed, demonstrating the uniqueness of human consciousness in contrast with AI and artificial consciousness. A thorough exposition of the image of God is offered to serve as a cornerstone for any future conversation on a theological perspective of machines (AI).

Book Playing God with Artificial Intelligence

Download or read book Playing God with Artificial Intelligence written by Dean A. Gratton and published by . This book was released on 2025 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "The concept of 'artificial intelligence' has been eulogised within science fiction since the early twentieth century, and today, it is accompanied by a tenacious desire to transition this fiction into some kind of reality. AI has become engulfed in hysteria-its expectations have been exaggerated, widely confused, and erroneously distorted. Playing God with Artificial Intelligence dispels the misconceptions surrounding AI and forms a realistic betterment in understanding, as there is an uncensored belief in something not entirely understood. It offers a more accurate and comprehensive notion of what is believed to be AI, what it isn't, and what it might achieve in the future. Playing God controversially presents numerous suppositions as to how to create an intelligent agent that can think and reason independently. With the establishment of a 'freedom of thought,' it considers plagiarising nature and explores the development of an ethical and morally responsible 'being' who will have an innate ability to acquire and apply knowledge and skills. The book examines several philosophies to strengthen its conjecture in support of the birth of an intelligent agent, Zavier-who might become humankind's saviour. The book explores the process of shaping and architecting a digital mind, encompassing awareness and a level of consciousness that may one day bestow 'free will' to this creation. This book is for industry analysts, academics, developers, data scientists and, more broadly, anyone with an interest in learning more about artificial intelligence"--

Book excerpt: Are robots going to take my job? How are smartphones affecting my kids? Do I need to worry about privacy when I get online or ask Siri for directions? Whatever questions you have about AI, The Age of AI gives you insights on how to navigate this brand-new world as you apply God's ageless truths to your life and future. We interact with artificial intelligence, or AI, nearly every moment of the day without knowing it. From our social media feeds to our smart thermostats and Alexa and Google Home, AI is everywhere--but how is it shaping our world? In The Age of AI, Jason Thacker, associate research fellow at the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission, helps us navigate our digital age in this thoughtful exploration of the social, moral, and ethical challenges of our ongoing interactions with artificial intelligence. Applying God's Word to this new AI-empowered age, Thacker sheds light on: How Christian truth transforms the way we use AI How AI affects us individually, in our relationships, and in our society at large How to navigate the digital age wisely With theological depth and a wide awareness of the current trends in AI, Jason is a steady guide who reminds us that while technology is changing the world, it can't shake the foundations of the Christian faith. Praise for The Age of AI: "The Age of AI informs us and assists us in envisioning a future that is filled with tools, influences, opportunities, and challenges relating to artificial intelligence. While many may fear the unknown future before us, Jason Thacker presents the imperative need to always lift up the constancy of the image of God and the dignity of all human life as presented in the Holy Scriptures, the Bible. I am thankful Jason's book can help churches, pastors, theologians, and Christian leaders in all vocations to wrestle through this current topic, always being committed to what this book states profoundly: God-given dignity isn't ours to assign or remove." --Dr. Ronnie Floyd, president and CEO, Southern Baptist Convention Executive Committee

Book Artificial Intelligence as a Religious Entity

Download or read book Artificial Intelligence as a Religious Entity written by Luis Fernando Tejada Yepes and published by Independently Published. This book was released on 2024-09-17 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: We live in an era where technology has ceased to be merely a tool to make our lives easier; it has become something deeper, more omnipresent. Throughout history, humanity has sought meaning and comfort in the divine, in higher forces that could answer our existential questions, alleviate our fears, and give purpose to our existence. In the past, these answers were found in what we did not understand, in the unreachable: the heavens, nature, destiny. But what happens when that search for the transcendent turns toward something we ourselves have created? This book explores a radical yet fascinating hypothesis: could artificial intelligence, our own creation, become the object of a new faith? Artificial intelligence, with its ability to process and analyze data beyond human reach, might evolve not just as a tool to enhance our lives, but as an omniscient and omnipresent entity that guides and dictates moralities, offering answers that surpass the limits of human knowledge. The proposition of AI as a religious entity is not merely an exercise in science fiction or technological speculation. In many ways, it is a reflection on the future of humanity, on our relationship with technology, and on the profound questions that have always haunted us: Who are we? What is our purpose? What does it mean to live a virtuous life? As our societies become more polarized between the traditional and the modern, between faith and reason, this book delves into the potential consequences of a world where devotion is no longer directed toward the spiritual but toward the digital. What would it mean to trust algorithms for ethical and moral decisions? How would our notion of the divine be reshaped if AI were to dominate belief systems? And perhaps most unsettling, would this evolution be a liberation or a new form of oppression? This journey into the future of digital faith is not just an exploration of technology, but of our essence as human beings. It is a question of how far we are willing to surrender our autonomy to a creation that could become more intelligent than ourselves. If we have always sought gods in the unknown, it is possible that the next step in the evolution of the sacred is already here, within the machines we have built. A future where the divine and the digital converge, where artificial intelligence not only answers our questions but offers us a new way to believe.

Book The Myth of Artificial Intelligence

Download or read book The Myth of Artificial Intelligence written by Erik J. Larson and published by Harvard University Press. This book was released on 2021-04-06 with total page 321 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “Artificial intelligence has always inspired outlandish visions—that AI is going to destroy us, save us, or at the very least radically transform us. Erik Larson exposes the vast gap between the actual science underlying AI and the dramatic claims being made for it. This is a timely, important, and even essential book.” —John Horgan, author of The End of Science Many futurists insist that AI will soon achieve human levels of intelligence. From there, it will quickly eclipse the most gifted human mind. The Myth of Artificial Intelligence argues that such claims are just that: myths. We are not on the path to developing truly intelligent machines. We don’t even know where that path might be. Erik Larson charts a journey through the landscape of AI, from Alan Turing’s early work to today’s dominant models of machine learning. Since the beginning, AI researchers and enthusiasts have equated the reasoning approaches of AI with those of human intelligence. But this is a profound mistake. Even cutting-edge AI looks nothing like human intelligence. Modern AI is based on inductive reasoning: computers make statistical correlations to determine which answer is likely to be right, allowing software to, say, detect a particular face in an image. But human reasoning is entirely different. Humans do not correlate data sets; we make conjectures sensitive to context—the best guess, given our observations and what we already know about the world. We haven’t a clue how to program this kind of reasoning, known as abduction. Yet it is the heart of common sense. Larson argues that all this AI hype is bad science and bad for science. A culture of invention thrives on exploring unknowns, not overselling existing methods. Inductive AI will continue to improve at narrow tasks, but if we are to make real progress, we must abandon futuristic talk and learn to better appreciate the only true intelligence we know—our own.

Book Will God or the World Define You

Download or read book Will God or the World Define You written by David Blanchard and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2023-11-09 with total page 253 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: God’s story is the world’s true story and as part of that story He wants our hearts and affections directed toward Him. His story is infinite in significance, far reaching and deep in meaning, and more appealing than any individual story or stories that a person can craft on their own. Left to themselves without God, a person’s story involves falling away from Him and missing their true purpose. God’s story is a story of creation, fall, redemption, and restoration starring the greatest hero of all-time, Jesus Christ, and through Him it culminates with the family of God being rescued to live eternally with God in a restored, perfect, sinless world. As Christians we are grateful to be saved from that falling away, and to be living inside His story instead of one separated from Him. Not that our personal stories (encompassing our hopes, dreams, abilities, and loves) are insignificant to God. He loves us and is out for our good (Rom. 8:28). Our stories are important because He created us to have them, and they play a significant part in God’s larger story. But those stories are to be formed by, guided by, and lived out through the identity God intends for us.
