This book was released on 1994 with total page 111 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: CETTE ETUDE CONSISTAIT A POSER LES PRINCIPES D'UNE ARCHITECTURE MULTIPROCESSEUR DEDIEE A UNE FONCTION SPECIFIQUE: LA RESOLUTION DES SYSTEMES D'EQUATIONS AUX DERIVEES PARTIELLES EN 3D. NOUS VISONS UN GAIN DE TEMPS GRACE AU PARALLELISME ET AUX RESTRICTIONS DU DOMAINE D'APPLICATION DU SYSTEME. L'ASPECT NUMERIQUE REPOSE SUR UNE METHODE ITERATIVE DE GAUSS-SEIDEL RELAXEE, APPLIQUEE A UNE DISCRETISATION DE TYPE VOLUMES FINIS SUR UN MAILLAGE ADAPTATIF ENTRELACE. CES CHOIX ONT ETE FAITS AVEC L'IDEE D'UNE APPROCHE MULTIPROCESSEUR, POUR OPTIMISER LES GAINS DU PARALLELISME ET LIMITER LES CONTRAINTES DE CELUI-CI. NOUS AVONS ADOPTE UN PARALLELISATION PAR DECOMPOSITION SPATIALE DU DOMAINE SELON UNE GRILLE 3D, CE QUI LIMITE A SIX LE MAXIMUM DE LIAISONS PAR MODULE. IL EST ESSENTIEL DE RECOUVRIR LES TRANSFERTS DE DONNEES PAR LES CALCULS. UNE SIMULATION SUR MACHINE SEQUENTIELLE A MONTRE QUE LES PARAMETRES IMPORTANTS A PRENDRE EN COMPTE LORS DE LA PARALLELISATION DE CES EQUATIONS SONT L'ORDRE DE PARCOURS DES POINTS DU VOLUME ETUDIE, LE NOMBRE DE POINTS ELEMENTAIRES PAR SOUS-DOMAINE, LA COMMUNICATION ENTRE LES DIFFERENTS PROCESSEURS. NOUS AVONS AINSI DEFINI ET TESTE UN ALGORITHME ORIGINAL DE PARCOURS DES POINTS PERMETTANT A LA FOIS DE MIEUX MASQUER LES TRANSFERTS DE DONNEES ET D'OPTIMISER UN FONCTIONNEMENT EN PIPELINE. CE TRAVAIL DE THESE CONSTITUE LA BASE DE TRAVAUX EN COURS AU LABORATOIRE, DONT LES PERSPECTIVES SONT LA REALISATION D'UN SYSTEME A 16 PROCESSEURS QUI CONSERVERA DANS CHACUN DES MODULES L'ARCHITECTURE ET LES ALGORITHMES DEFINIS DANS CETTE ETUDE

This book was released on 1996 with total page 218 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: CE TRAVAIL SE SITUE DANS LE CADRE D'UN PROJET VISANT A REALISER UN SYSTEME ELECTRONIQUE DESTINE A LA RESOLUTION PARALLELE DE SYSTEMES D'EQUATIONS AUX DERIVEES PARTIELLES EN TROIS DIMENSIONS.

This book was released on 1995 with total page 214 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book Parallel Computing written by Roman Trobec and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2009-06-18 with total page 531 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The use of parallel programming and architectures is essential for simulating and solving problems in modern computational practice. There has been rapid progress in microprocessor architecture, interconnection technology and software devel- ment, which are in?uencing directly the rapid growth of parallel and distributed computing. However, in order to make these bene?ts usable in practice, this dev- opment must be accompanied by progress in the design, analysis and application aspects of parallel algorithms. In particular, new approaches from parallel num- ics are important for solving complex computational problems on parallel and/or distributed systems. The contributions to this book are focused on topics most concerned in the trends of today’s parallel computing. These range from parallel algorithmics, progr- ming, tools, network computing to future parallel computing. Particular attention is paid to parallel numerics: linear algebra, differential equations, numerical integ- tion, number theory and their applications in computer simulations, which together form the kernel of the monograph. We expect that the book will be of interest to scientists working on parallel computing, doctoral students, teachers, engineers and mathematicians dealing with numerical applications and computer simulations of natural phenomena.

Download or read book Symmetric Galerkin Boundary Element Method written by Alok Sutradhar and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2008-09-26 with total page 276 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Symmetric Galerkin Boundary Element Method presents an introduction as well as recent developments of this accurate, powerful, and versatile method. The formulation possesses the attractive feature of producing a symmetric coefficient matrix. In addition, the Galerkin approximation allows standard continuous elements to be used for evaluation of hypersingular integrals. FEATURES • Written in a form suitable for a graduate level textbook as well as a self-learning tutorial in the field. • Covers applications in two-dimensional and three-dimensional problems of potential theory and elasticity. Additional basic topics involve axisymmetry, multi-zone and interface formulations. More advanced topics include fluid flow (wave breaking over a sloping beach), non-homogeneous media, functionally graded materials (FGMs), anisotropic elasticity, error estimation, adaptivity, and fracture mechanics. • Presents integral equations as a basis for the formulation of general symmetric Galerkin boundary element methods and their corresponding numerical implementation. • Designed to convey effective unified procedures for the treatment of singular and hypersingular integrals that naturally arise in the method. Symbolic codes using Maple® for singular-type integrations are provided and discussed in detail. • The user-friendly adaptive computer code BEAN (Boundary Element ANalysis), fully written in Matlab®, is available as a companion to the text. The complete source code, including the graphical user-interface (GUI), can be downloaded from the web site http://www.ghpaulino.com/SGBEM_book. The source code can be used as the basis for building new applications, and should also function as an effective teaching tool. To facilitate the use of BEAN, a video tutorial and a library of practical examples are provided.

Book Signal Processing for Communications

Download or read book Signal Processing for Communications written by Paolo Prandoni and published by Collection Savoir suisse. This book was released on 2008-06-17 with total page 392 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: With a novel, less classical approach to the subject, the authors have written a book with the conviction that signal processing should be taught to be fun. The treatment is therefore less focused on the mathematics and more on the conceptual aspects, the idea being to allow the readers to think about the subject at a higher conceptual level, thus building the foundations for more advanced topics. The book remains an engineering text, with the goal of helping students solve real-world problems. In this vein, the last chapter pulls together the individual topics as discussed throughout the book into an in-depth look at the development of an end-to-end communication system, namely, a modem for communicating digital information over an analog channel.

Book The Physics of Information Technology

Download or read book The Physics of Information Technology written by Neil Gershenfeld and published by Cambridge University Press. This book was released on 2000-10-16 with total page 390 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Physics of Information Technology explores the familiar devices that we use to collect, transform, transmit, and interact with electronic information. Many such devices operate surprisingly close to very many fundamental physical limits. Understanding how such devices work, and how they can (and cannot) be improved, requires deep insight into the character of physical law as well as engineering practice. The book starts with an introduction to units, forces, and the probabilistic foundations of noise and signalling, then progresses through the electromagnetics of wired and wireless communications, and the quantum mechanics of electronic, optical, and magnetic materials, to discussions of mechanisms for computation, storage, sensing, and display. This self-contained volume will help both physical scientists and computer scientists see beyond the conventional division between hardware and software to understand the implications of physical theory for information manipulation.
