Este puede servir como una herramienta para plantear y resolver problemas financieros, sin tener que estar preocupado demasiado por el c�lculo y los procedimientos algebraicos. Esto no significa que el usuario no use el c�lculo mental, la comprensi�n de los procesos l�gicos y que puede recurrir a diversas estrategias de c�lculo.Este libro no es un curso tradicional de Matem�ticas Financieras, sino m�s bien una gu�a did�ctica para el aprendizaje de esa disciplina matem�tica usando el procesador de texto, como Microsoft Word. Tambi�n queremos ense�ar a configurar el procesador de textos para la soluci�n y c�lculo de los ejercicios financieros. Consideramos que Word es m�s completo que OpenOffice, aun cuando existen otros softwares libres de gran calidad, pero m�s complejos y orientados a la redacci�n cient�fica.En esta obra se hace una revisi�n sucinta de los conceptos b�sicos de las Matem�ticas Financieras, de c�mo escribir la notaci�n algebraica y como resolverlos autom�ticamente. Se tratan tambi�n las operaciones b�sicas (inter�s simple, el valor del dinero en el tiempo, etc., valor presente, inter�s compuesto), para luego entrar a estudiar los diferentes tipos de anualidades.Esta obra est� inspirada en lo que hemos denominado Redactar & Calcular en forma simult�nea en los procesadores de textos, tema sobre el cual incluimos un cap�tulo para aquellos lectores interesados en conocer esta nueva competencia, que tiene como objetivo que los usuarios aprendan a plantearse problemas en forma matem�tica y resolverlos en forma simult�nea, para la creaci�n de textos argumentativos.Aprender Matem�ticas Financieras con Word, tal como lo anotamos en el ep�grafe, parte del principio que se debe abandonar la insistencia fundamentalista en la capacidad de c�lculo y centrarse en la comprensi�n de los conceptos fundamentales de esta disciplina matem�tica.
