Book Interactive Computer Graphics Applications for Program Management

Download or read book Interactive Computer Graphics Applications for Program Management written by George H Peroin (Jr) and published by . This book was released on 1976 with total page 39 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: While the use of interactive graphics is fairly well established in the scientific field, managerial applications are still in an embryonic stage of development. Two reasons for this became apparent. First, there has been a general reluctance on the part of managers, themselves, to become involved in the design of application software. Second, the cost of most computer systems has been too high, in the past, to allow for the acquisition of unproven computer capabilities in the budgets of all but the largest companies. Research results also indicate that the computer industry is placing its emphasis on improvements in hardware technology rather than on software design. Marketing brochures underscore the widespread availability of equipment and a disheartening lack of commercially available business application software. Until management becomes convinced that interactive graphics capabilities can be a practical and economical aid to decision-making and becomes involved in the development of software packages, we will not see rapid and widespread growth in this area.

Book Pearson EText Interactive Computer Graphics Access Card

Download or read book Pearson EText Interactive Computer Graphics Access Card written by Edward Angel and published by . This book was released on 2019-05-26 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A top-down, programming-oriented approach to introductory computer graphic. Computer animation and graphics are now prevalent in everyday life from the computer screen, to the movie screen, to the smartphone screen. The growing excitement about WebGL applications and their ability to integrate HTML5, inspired the authors to exclusively use WebGL in creating Interactive Computer Graphics --the only introduction to computer graphics text for undergraduates that fully integrates WebGL and emphasizes application-based programming. The top-down, programming-oriented approach allows for coverage of engaging 3D material early in the course so students immediately begin to create their own 3D graphics, while the application programming interface (API) makes it easier to teach key graphics topics, including three-dimensional transformations, lighting and shading, client-server graphics, modeling, and implementation algorithms. The new edition uses WebGL and JavaScript for all the examples. With the 8th Edition, and for the first time, Interactive Computer Graphics moves into the world of interactive electronic textbooks, enabling students to experiment and view code and examples while reading. The convenient, simple-to-use mobile reading experience extends learning beyond class time. For courses in computer science and engineering.
