Download or read book APPLICATION DE LA TRANSFORMEE EN ONDELETTES A LA DETECTION DE CONTOUR PAR FUSION MULTIECHELLE written by Olivier Laligant and published by . This book was released on 1995 with total page 251 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: NOUS PRESENTONS L'ETUDE D'UN ALGORITHME DE SEGMENTATION D'IMAGE AU SENS CONTOUR DESTINE A UN FONCTIONNEMENT EN TEMPS REEL. CE SYSTEME PERMET DE REALISER LA FUSION DES INFORMATIONS MULTIECHELLES DE CONTOURS FOURNIES PAR LE DETECTEUR DE CANNY-DERICHE GENERALISE PRECEDEMMENT DANS NOTRE LABORATOIRE (GERE) POUR LA DETECTION DE CONTOURS FLOUS. NOUS AVONS CARACTERISE CE FILTRE EN TANT QU'ONDELETTE MERE ET DETECTEUR, ET CE FILTRE A ETE IMPLANTE AU LABORATOIRE LIESIB DANS DES CIRCUITS FPGA POUR UN FONCTIONNEMENT A LA CADENCE VIDEO. LA FUSION EST REALISEE PAR UNE METHODE DE CLASSIFICATION GEOMETRIQUE DEVELOPPEE AU LABORATOIRE ET OPERANT ELLE AUSSI EN TEMPS REEL. LE SYSTEME DE SEGMENTATION OBTENU EST PARTICULIEREMENT ADAPTE AU CONTROLE PAR VISION ARTIFICIELLE DE PRODUITS INDUSTRIELS. CE SYSTEME PEUT EN EFFET FONCTIONNER DE FACON AUTONOME EN LIGNE SANS NECESSITER DE REGLAGES OU DE MODIFICATIONS EN CAS DE CHANGEMENT DES CONDITIONS DE PRISE DE VUE. LE SYSTEME SE REVELE PARTICULIEREMENT ROBUSTE DANS LA SEGMENTATION D'IMAGES FLOUES OU TRES BRUITEES ET SE DESTINE AUX CONTROLES INDUSTRIELS DANS DES CONDITIONS DIFFICILES ET A CADENCE ELEVEE. NOUS PROPOSONS AUSSI UNE METHODE DE COMBINAISON SIMPLE ET EFFICACE DES INFORMATIONS MULTIECHELLES DE CONTOURS. NOUS MONTRONS QUE LES APPROCHES ASCENDANTES OU DESCENDANTES UTILISEES DANS LES TRAVAUX EXISTANTS SONT RESTRICTIVES. UNE GRANDE VARIETE DE METHODES DE SEGMENTATION PEUT ETRE GREFFEE SUR CETTE METHODE DE FUSION

Download or read book DETECTION DE CONTOURS PAR TRANSFORMEE EN ONDELETTES ET RESEAUX DE NEURONES written by MARTIAL.. FORTHOFFER and published by . This book was released on 1992 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: LE MEMOIRE PRESENTE TRAITE DE LA SEGMENTATION D'IMAGES PAR DETECTION DE CONTOURS PAR LA COOPERATION DE LA TRANSFORMEE EN ONDELETTES ET DES RESEAUX DE NEURONES.

This book was released on 2005 with total page 114 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Wavelets and Their Applications

Download or read book Wavelets and Their Applications written by J.S. Byrnes and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 1994-08-31 with total page 432 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It is probably true quite generally that in the history of human thinking the most fruitful developments frequently take place at those points where two different lines of thought meet. Hence, if they actually meet, that is, if they are at least so much related to each other that a real interaction can take place, then one may hope that new and interesting developments may follow. Werner Heisenberg This volume contains papers presented at the August 1992 NATO Advanced Study Institute on Wavelets and Their Applications. The conference was held at the beautiful Il Ciocco resort near Lucca, in the glorious Tuscany region of northern Italy. Once again we gathered at this idyllic spot to explore and extend the reciprocity between mathematics and engineering. The dynamic interaction between world-renowned scientists from the usu ally disparate communities of pure mathematicians and applied scientists, which occurred at our 1989 and 1991 ASI's, continued at this meeting. Wavelet theory and technology is in an important growth stage at which theoretical and practical results are being compared with existing methods. There have been spectacular wavelet successes and sobering comparisons with traditional ideas-but still there is a wide expanse of scientific problems to explore. Since these problems lie at the forefront of both pure mathematics and applied science, our NATO ASI was especially pertinent at this time.

Book Local Approximation Techniques in Signal and Image Processing

Download or read book Local Approximation Techniques in Signal and Image Processing written by Vladimir I︠A︡kovlevich Katkovnik and published by SPIE-International Society for Optical Engineering. This book was released on 2006 with total page 584 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book deals with a wide class of novel and efficient adaptive signal processing techniques developed to restore signals from noisy and degraded observations. These signals include those acquired from still or video cameras, electron microscopes, radar, X-rays, or ultrasound devices, and are used for various purposes, including entertainment, medical, business, industrial, military, civil, security, and scientific. In many cases useful information and high quality must be extracted from the imaging. However, often raw signals are not directly suitable for this purpose and must be processed in some way. Such processing is called signal reconstruction. This book is devoted to a recent and original approach to signal reconstruction based on combining two independent ideas: local polynomial approximation and the intersection of confidence interval rule.

Book Fundamentals of Statistical Hydrology

Download or read book Fundamentals of Statistical Hydrology written by Mauro Naghettini and published by Springer. This book was released on 2016-10-26 with total page 658 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This textbook covers the main applications of statistical methods in hydrology. It is written for upper undergraduate and graduate students but can be used as a helpful guide for hydrologists, geographers, meteorologists and engineers. The book is very useful for teaching, as it covers the main topics of the subject and contains many worked out examples and proposed exercises. Starting from simple notions of the essential graphical examination of hydrological data, the book gives a complete account of the role that probability considerations must play during modelling, diagnosis of model fit, prediction and evaluating the uncertainty in model predictions, including the essence of Bayesian application in hydrology and statistical methods under nonstationarity. The book also offers a comprehensive and useful discussion on subjective topics, such as the selection of probability distributions suitable for hydrological variables. On a practical level, it explains MS Excel charting and computing capabilities, demonstrates the use of Winbugs free software to solve Monte Carlo Markov Chain (MCMC) simulations, and gives examples of free R code to solve nonstationary models with nonlinear link functions with climate covariates.
