Book Apollyon The Spirit of Homosexuality

Download or read book Apollyon The Spirit of Homosexuality written by Romel Duane Moore Sr and published by Independently Published. This book was released on 2019-01-11 with total page 76 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: While growing up in the inner city of Chicago in the 70's and 80's and going to high school in Michigan, I remember seeing very few people who were homosexuals and virtually none who were transgender. Occasionally, there was one male in most families, in our community, who was thought to have feminine ways and depending on the population of the high school, maybe one or two effeminate males in our Michigan high schools. Unlike the norms of the Millennials today, the presence of homosexuality was simply taboo. Like most things in life, what humans do not understand, we usually fear and judge out of ignorance. In 2002, I started a church in Fort Wayne, Indiana. To my great surprise, at least fifty percent of the congregation were either "gay" or had immediate family members who were "gay." They came to the church, regularly. Out of my fear and lack of knowledge, (since I grew up in a generation where homosexuality was virtually unheard of), I would find a way to insert the Divine judgement of Sodom and Gomorrah whenever I knew a homosexual was sitting in Service. It wasn't because I wanted every "gay" person to think they were going to hell. It was because I had never seen so many homosexuals from where I was from and it seemed they were coming to the church I was pastoring to make a point to me. I was going to let them know, that I was definitely not having it at the church I pastored. One night, the Lord impressed upon my heart that many of the "gays" in the community were coming to my church because they knew I would give them the truth. I believe the Lord was directing me to stop beating them up and love them. I obeyed God and set aside my seemingly homophobic attitude. I began treating them as I would anyone under God's care. Anyone who says they do not have stereotypical ways and mindsets are fooling themselves. It takes God many years to truly cleanse us from the hatred, racism, and ignorance we learned as we grew up. I learned that the homosexual community who attended my church loved God with all their hearts and many of their stories were horrific. They already knew their lifestyle was not in line with God's Word and they truly desired to do His will. There is no seminary or Bible college that can really prepare a person for real life ministry. It is "on the job training" and only those who have God's heart will lead the people without doing too much harm because of our own personal issues and biases. I welcomed many "gays" who came to church deep in the grip of homosexuality and they were able to change their lives and do their best to live according to the Bible, by the grace and power of God. They were talented, faithful, and the kind of person every pastor prays for concerning commitment and loyalty. The problem is never God or His Word. It is always His representatives who are still under construction. There is much the homosexual community has to offer the Body of Christ and it is the Christian's assignment to properly reach them through God's grace and love and lead them to eternal life. It does not matter if you believe a person is born homosexual or not because we all must be Born Again.

Book Homosexuality Man Vs God

Download or read book Homosexuality Man Vs God written by Amos Sibanda and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2016-02-20 with total page 183 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There are many things in this world that people do, whether harmless or harmful. The habits that are not good in life are very appealing and good ones less appealing. Common examples of bad habits are in eating, drinking, smoking, sex, and use of drugs. Trying to give advice on the bad habits is interfering with the entertainment of the people concerned. For example in eating, there are many people who prefer junk food to good, healthy, and natural food. It takes the entirety of the whole universe to make them realize and concede that the practice is not good. Some practices or actions that are sin to God, no matter how we view them, are so exciting and appealing that the people concerned strongly feel delighted to commit them. So this book is about these practices, actions, and their solutions. It reveals that there is no sinful action less or greater than the other. All sins are the same before God and are self-entertainment. When the law of God is transgressed it becomes sin. Of course all of us have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Gods grace justifies us freely through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. No one is guiltless. How can a perpetual thief cast a stone at a homosexual? How can a murderer, with hands full of innocent blood, cast a stone at the homosexual? How can a coveter cast a stone at the homosexual? How can the fraudulent cast a stone at the homosexual? How can a homosexual cast a stone at these above? The list of those with planks in their eyes who see specks in other peoples eyes is long. The solution to this sad state of affairs is to be unbiased; to be willing to know God, that He is real; and to be willing to explore the other side of the cointhat is to regret to be conscience stricken about a past action or attitude. This change is only possible through Christ. It took God, the creator of the heavens, the earth, and the sea and everything in them to become flesh (named Jesus) for us to realize and concede that some of our practices or actions are not good before Him. This is about Salvation. Ultimately, it is about freedom from sin in this world and the world to come which will be inherited by those who are willing to hear what the Holy Spirit says. The meek shall inherit the earth (Matthew 5:5).

Book excerpt: A down-to-earth look at the spiritual power of sex Sex and the Sacred examines the spiritual dimension of human sexuality in a way that is free of religious affiliation but still open to traditional religion and belief in God. Dr. Daniel Helminiak, author of the best-selling What the Bible Really Says about Homosexuality, looks at the relationship between sexuality and spirituality, first, from a humanistic perspective and, then, a more familiar Christian point of view. In particular, he encourages LGBTI people to reclaim their spiritual heritage without apology. This unique book emphasizes spiritual commitment as an essential facet of LGBTI/queer consciousness and addresses such burning themes as coming out, the importance of self-acceptance, gay marriage, gay bashing, and the ethics of gay sex. Sex and the Sacred combines a psychological approach to spirituality with common sense and compassion, inspiring a break from moralistic religion and an understanding of what true spirituality means. The book applies this understanding to Christian topics such as the Bible, Fundamentalism, and the future of Christianity, and shows how coming out was an issue for Jesus, how homosexual experience relates to the Christian Trinity, and how Western Civilization became so sex-negative. Sex and the Sacred presents in the end a radical vision of Christianity open to all people. Religious leaders of all denominations, educators, counselors, members of the gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender community, non-religious spiritual seekers, and anyone interested in the relationship between spirituality and sexuality will find this book enlightening and uplifting. Sex and the Sacred examines: the spiritual drive that is built into human sexuality the standard religious arguments against gay marriage a sustained argument that Biblical Fundamentalism is not Christian spiritual lessons from the AIDS epidemic the right and wrong of sex—queer and otherwise homosexuality in Catholic teaching and practice sexual ethics without religion a vision for a renewed Christianity within a global community

Book A Biblical Point of View on Homosexuality

Download or read book A Biblical Point of View on Homosexuality written by Kerby Anderson and published by Harvest House Publishers. This book was released on 2008-03-01 with total page 146 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the last few decades, homosexuality has moved from the margins of society to the mainstream. In response to this cultural shift, Christian apologist and radio host Kerby Anderson sorts through myths to deliver the facts on homosexuality and the social impact it has had on families, the church, schools, and traditional marriage. With a balance of God's truth found in the Bible and a desire to reach out to homosexuals, he answers key questions about homosexuality, including: What percentage of the population is homosexual? Is homosexuality the worst of all sins? Did Jesus remove God's condemnation of homosexuality? Is there a connection between gay teens and suicide? What are the causes of homosexuality? Anderson also looks at the spiritual aspects of homosexuality and offers practical suggestions for Christians seeking to reach out to gay and lesbian friends and loved ones. This book is an essential resource for anyone seeking to better understand the roots, goals, and implications of homosexuality and the pro-gay movement.

Download or read book Homosexuality written by Emmanuel M. Ekwo and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2010-09 with total page 178 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I have heard many arguments, questions and comments in reference to homosexuality, and there is now a burden on my heart to express plainly how offensive this is in the sight of God. I will try to merge all these arguments, questions and comments together and balance them by the Word of God. I pray you read this with an open heart and mind. Well, I am going to point out a few things that may come as a shock to you. You must approach this subject with an open mind, and form your own conclusions, since mind control is about telling people what to do and how to think, and I am certainly not trying to control you or your life. There are some aspects of reality that people nowadays are not taught, due to an overwhelming feeling of fear created by those very aspects of reality. There are mass movements of gays and lesbians going on around the world, even in largely homophobic enclaves such as in many African societies. All of these are not an accident folks; it is a careful orchestration by the one who seeks Man's destruction. I certainly see a prophetic significance in the recent homosexual upsurge. The modern homosexual upsweep is one phase of a declining trend in morals. When the disciples asked our Lord, "What shall be the sign of Thy coming, and of the consummation of the age?" He told them that "iniquity shall abound" (Matthew 24:3, 12). There is today permissiveness and promiscuity in sexual behavior unprecedented in the history of America and of the world. There is little restraint upon the widespread of materials containing pictures and writings depicting erotic behavior intended to cause sexual excitement. This would be included in our Lord's prophecy about abounding iniquity.

Book Homosexuality Man Vs God

Download or read book Homosexuality Man Vs God written by Amos Sibanda and published by CreateSpace. This book was released on 2014-10-24 with total page 188 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This title looks at what the bible has to say about homosexuality. What do other people around the world say? What do some of the most powerful political leaders have to say about gay and lesbian relationships? This book is not about preaching hate or offending anyone. It is neither to disparage nor castigate anyone. Whilst it may be very difficult for other people to accept and comprehend it, it is about spiritually reconciling souls. Like a charity organization that extends its services with love and compassion to alleviate the hardships of the disadvantaged, this book is written to alleviate hardships of the spiritual disadvantaged people. It is very intricate to many people to comprehend spiritual emptiness. The message is to seek light shining in the darkness to be comprehended by the darkness. The message is not only to one group of people but also to everyone that is spiritually empty. It also addresses all human flaws, for example to name a few, maliciousness, envy, murder, strife, deceit, hatred of God, violence, pride, disobedience to parents, boasting, etc. In the book there is a brief explanation of homosexuality and a brief history about the activity. The current situation is about countries where homosexuality is illegal and others where it is legal. What people say, and their positions, is mainly the sayings and positions of heads of countries and church leaders and some studies. Retraction and evolvement/ evolution are also revealed through leaders of countries and organizations as well. This so far shows where man (human beings) stands regarding homosexuality. Whilst the utterance and stand of leaders could not be the position of everyone, but as representatives of the countries or organizations they show the directions intended or taken. Having shown human standing on the matter, which is diverse, God's position and all his requirements are brought in. To avoid personal opinion and diluting God's word quotations are made verse by verse with such consistence and harmony that the sense and intentions are not lost. There are some people who do not believe in God and others who take him for granted. For such, using the scripture mainly in comparison with some scientific researches the entire endeavor is made to prove that God exists and is real. With the hope that all the above may have an effect on some people; there are several miscellaneous biblical facts to guide and help such. These facts show the role they play and how they matter to the Christian life and the benefits of being Christ's disciple. Each of these is supported by a list of consistent and harmonious verses to help a reader who may believe and be delivered from the body of death to comprehend the environment he/she is going into. The facts are judging or condemning, Jesus' call, hypocrisy, great commission, love, lack of love, the devil, resisting the devil, prayer, compassion, forgiving; grace, faith and the law. After this, is the resolution, that is, change of the life style. There is no sin greater than the other. All sins are the same before God. The ability to repent is to turn to Christ. There is nothing we can do on our own. When one sinner repents the whole heaven and all the angels rejoice. This is how important we, as human beings, are before God. There are certain observations, that is, remarks, comments, or statements based on what has been noticed. The observations are on law, phobia, sciamachy, evolvement, choice or no choice, discrimination, effects on children, Bible distortion; wisdom, knowledge and understanding, and prophecy. The conclusion is a self-plea to God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord for cleansing the author. It is a plea for the spirit of power and not the spirit of fear in order to overcome weakness. Without God in my heart I cannot preach renunciation and devotion to others when I have not myself got rid of lust and anger.

Book Freedom Glorious Freedom

Book excerpt: In Freedom, Glorious Freedom, acclaimed author John J. McNeill shows how lesbian and gay Christians can achieve full spiritual maturity and self-acceptance. McNeill offers a twelve-step spirituality as a spiritual process of liberation from all addictions in order to experience the love of God in its fullness. The epilogue expresses in detail a philosophical vision, looking both to the past and to the future, of how gay liberation fits into the Spirit-directed evolution of human history and its role in the ongoing struggle for human liberation. For more than thirty-five years, John J. McNeill, an ordained priest and psychotherapist, has been devoting his life to spreading the good news of God¿s love for lesbian and gay Christians.

Book The Gaying of America the Love of God

Download or read book The Gaying of America the Love of God written by M.A.R. and published by WestBowPress. This book was released on 2014-01-03 with total page 148 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What does God say about homosexuality? How does this differ from what society says? Is homosexuality wrong? Does God hate gays? Rarely will you encounter a book which speaks both of the love of God and homosexuality. Homosexuality usually elicits blasts of judgment from the religious community, and not love. The Gaying of America and the Love of God reconciles these three seemingly opposing topics explaining how God views the behaviors of His most precious creation, humanity. Jesus response when confronted with sexual misgivings is telling of what the religious communitys attitude should be on this exploding topic. An examination of Abraham also reveals a surprising reaction from the patriarch of three of the worlds largest religions. What influence will gay marriage have on the fate of the United States of America? This book brings Gods perspective to this conversation, in an attempt to bring all communities together, including those in the LGBT community. A truly prophetic call to the church and to the modern world.

This book provides the opportunity for readers to find a deeper connection with themselves and others as you savor the stories of sexual minorities who have sought meaningful connections between their spirituality and sexuality. Expect to experience something profound when you find formerly rigid boundaries between God and gays begin to relax. Your God might be much larger than you ever imagined!
