Book Some Place Better Than Here

Download or read book Some Place Better Than Here written by Landen Wakil and published by FriesenPress. This book was released on 2017-10-25 with total page 406 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It’s early summer, and in a small community on the central Jersey Shore, a black car screeches to a halt outside the Wright Bros grocery. Danny looks up from where he’s working at the carwash to see the driver rifle out of the car and chase a girl rushing into the store. For some reason—fate perhaps or intuition—he decides to cross the lot and investigate. When he meets Mary, there is a great deal Danny doesn’t know, but he certainly knows that he’s been struck. For it’s like the keys to an old car had been dropped into his hands and is about to start the engine that will forever alter the outcome of their lives. Some Place Better Than Here is a gritty, unflinching look at how we define family and come to grips with loss. It’s about growing up in a small town, following your dreams, and mapping out the uneven ground that often lays between love, friendship and sexual awakening.

Helpful hints come from the invisible realms through a dragon, various other selves, and a team of light beings. Some of the subjects she explores, with frequent humor, great affection, and occasional annoyance, are quantum evolution, remote viewing, the binary language of time and timelessness, the artist as a channel, the dial of perception, the power of transformation, and dreamtime communications. A delightful and uplifting book.

Book Strictly English

Download or read book Strictly English written by Simon Heffer and published by Random House. This book was released on 2011-05-31 with total page 356 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Be in no doubt: the beer was drunk but the man drank the beer." "We must avoid vulgarities like 'front up'. If someone is 'fronting up' a television show, then he is presenting it." Simon Heffer's incisive and amusingly despairing emails to colleagues at the The Daily Telegraph about grammatical mistakes and stylistic slips have attracted a growing band of ardent fans over recent years. Now, in his new book Strictly English, he makes an impassioned case for an end to the sloppiness that has become such a hallmark of everyday speech and writing, and shows how accuracy and clarity are within the grasp of anyone who is prepared to take the time to master a few simple rules. If you wince when you see "different than" in print, or are offended by people who think that "infer" and "imply" mean the same thing, then this book will provide reassurance that you are not alone. And if you believe that precise and elegant English really does matter, then it will prove required reading.

As a youngster, Bill sensed the Everywhere, which is like a waterless ocean of all that is. In our current lives, we are part of the whole. Lives now, before, and after sort of happen concurrently, although the only life we currently sense is our present life, which we refer to as “life as we know it.” In Here, There, and Everywhere, Bill reveals the core lessons he learned from his grandfather: family, love, honor, trust, and peace, explaining their significance so that others can benefit from them throughout their journey. Join Bill as he shares life anecdotes and blessings from growing up in a family of “plain people” in this uplifting book of memoirs.

I wish to thank Him for His work in me. I hope that this book will reach many out there who need His strength and confidence in survival. Book God is Still Here There and Everywhere

Download or read book God is Still Here There and Everywhere written by Khean Chin and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2023-07-08 with total page 76 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: My second book for Christ, God Is Still Here, There, and Everywhere, is written as my continuation walk with his blessings as in my first book. Our Lord God is truly a real God that loves his children. He is the One and Only heavenly Father to everyone. He was there when I came to him in 1994, and he is still here with me today. God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. He taught me to be strong in my faith, to walk right with him, and to draw wisdom from him. Before knowing Christ, I have no experience of what the real meaning of a relationship with God was like. I was a Taoist (idol-worshipper) then, and everything that I have done was more like traditional beliefs (legalistic rules). I was struggling with it, and God opened my eyes to see his guidance. He gave me a choice to choose between slavery and freedom. I chose freedom. I can never forget the day God found me. He brought me out of the miry clay and made me what I am today. My phone stopped ringing that day, and I lost all my friends, and Jesus said in his clear voice that he will be my friend. As children of God, I called myself a rock star as God is my Rock, and I am one of his many, many stars in the sky. Genesis 15:5 reads, "He took him outside and said, 'Look up at the sky and count the stars--if indeed you can count them.' Then he said to him, 'So shall your offspring be.'" I thanked God for His true love for me. He gave me a chance to share my experiences as in testimonies in this book. If God can do it for me, he will do it for you too. Without God, I am nothing. All glory and honor to the one true Lord God Almighty. Amen.

Book Giant Molecules Here There And Everywhere 2nd Edition

Download or read book Giant Molecules Here There And Everywhere 2nd Edition written by Alexander Y Grosberg and published by World Scientific. This book was released on 2010-09-24 with total page 346 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “… Giant molecules are important in our everyday life. But, as pointed out by the authors, they are also associated with a culture. What Bach did with the harpsichord, Kuhn and Flory did with polymers. We owe a lot of thanks to those who now make this music accessible …”Pierre-Gilles de Gennes Nobel Prize laureate in Physics (Foreword for the 1st Edition, March 1996)This book describes the basic facts, concepts and ideas of polymer physics in simple, yet scientifically accurate, terms. In both scientific and historic contexts, the book shows how the subject of polymers is fascinating, as it is behind most of the wonders of living cell machinery as well as most of the newly developed materials. No mathematics is used in the book beyond modest high school algebra and a bit of freshman calculus, yet very sophisticated concepts are introduced and explained, ranging from scaling and reptations to protein folding and evolution. The new edition includes an extended section on polymer preparation methods, discusses knots formed by molecular filaments, and presents new and updated materials on such contemporary topics as single molecule experiments with DNA or polymer properties of proteins and their roles in biological evolution.
