Although bestselling author Sarah O’Malley is sure her next erotic-romance novel will be another hit, she finds it near to impossible to replicate the same results in her personal life. At forty-five years old, Sarah now finds herself divorced and a single mother of two. Sarah journeys back to her childhood home to nurse her mother who is suffering from Alzheimer’s, and she inevitably encounters the ghosts of her past—the death of a child, its devastating effect on family relations, youthful sexual exploration, and an unplanned pregnancy. However, the haunts of the past open up a whole new world to Sarah as she learns to forgive the traumas that had happened before. Amid a great awakening, Sarah also comes to terms with being a sexually active middle-aged woman, and begins to accept sex again, even in the most inappropriate but titillating circumstances. As she unlocks her own physical desires, she also stumbles upon a heavy secret that her mother had been hiding from her for the past fifty years. This trip might prove to be a better story than anything Sarah could have possibly hoped to write. My book is to show that although someone may have an unsettled start in life; it doesn't mean that we are dammed. An angel may sometimes fall from grace...but through hope and determination...we all do have a chance of making it through...!

Taut, tense, and totally unpredictable, When Angels Cry is a powerful love story not only for the heart and soul, but one for the ages-especially the age to come. - Julie Lessman, award-winning author of the Daughters of Boston, Winds of Change, and Isle of Hope series. In the not too distant future... Wars, plagues, and famines ravage the world, immorality and violence are rampant, and the Bible is outlawed. Angelica Smoke, a single mother and cocktail waitress, ascends the steps of a megachurch to deliver a message from God to the one man she hoped to never see again. That message thrusts world-famous pastor Daniel Cain into a whirlwind of confusion, causing him to seek out Angelica and demand an explanation. But the woman broke his heart once and is now involved in a fanatical cult. Even being seen with her could damage his career. Still, he cannot stay away, and the more time he spends with her, the more he begins to doubt everything he believes. Angelica is a seer. God grants her visions of the future, but she has no idea what to do with them. Her top priority is protecting her son-from the world, the culture, the devil, and especially from Daniel. But God keeps throwing them together, causing her fears to rise and reopening old wounds that threaten to tear her soul apart. Angels watch over the couple, protecting and hoping they will make the right choices. But the angels are limited in what they can do as the end of the age comes to a close and the spiritual battles intensify, not only for Angelica and Daniel, but for all humanity. Action-packed and thrilling, When Angels Cry is not only a great read but a thought-provoking tale. In the flavor of Peretti and Left Behind, this story paints a vivid picture of what things might be like in the last days. Michelle Griep, author of The Captive Heart & Brentwood's Ward

Book excerpt: John sees a dead man walk but can make no sense of it. He thinks he has a mental issue, or maybe, like his friend, he is becoming an alcoholic, but perhaps what is really happening to him is beyond belief. His problems start with blackouts, memory loss, and moments, sometimes days, of total confusion. These occur throughout the book, some dramatic, others very ordinary. He tells us of his fears and we accompany him on his journey as he dismisses the possibility of mental illness and looks for the explanation elsewhere.Much of the dialogue takes place on a small yacht and it is there that John meets up with a stranger, Michael, who once worked at CERN. John, having a scientific background himself, is more than impressed by this man's intelligence and scientific knowledge. Along with others they go sailing and we begin to find out about their personalities and different views. Michael, who is part of a sect, tells John he is having 'episodes' - mixing up moments in his life. He adds that he will need many such experiences before he is ready to accept a new truth - we are all part of the multiverse and when we make a choice, whether knowingly or unknowingly, we create a new branch with new possibilities and we coexist in them all. John's life soon takes on a different meaning and he prepares for a new role helping others. Everything now makes sense, death dying and suffering. He is told he is gifted, one of those able to grasp the truth about reality - we all live on forever. He is a good man but not a saint and we learn more about him when he finds out his wife Penny is diagnosed with cancer, and he too ends up in hospital. Near the end of the book, having come to terms with his revelation, he meets up with others like himself. His enlightenment and new understanding are completed, following dramatic events on a voyage across the Irish Sea.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “An authentic cry of American innocence . . . The author seizes the reader with a Southern gift for storytelling and never lets go.”—Time Magazine It is the mid-1950s in Quarrytown, Georgia. In the slum known as the Ape Yard, hope’s last refuge is a boardinghouse where a handful of residents dream of a better life. Earl Whitaker, who is white, and Tio Grant, who is black, are both teenagers, both orphans, and best friends. In the same house live two of the most important adults in the boys’ lives: Em Jojohn, the gigantic Lumbee Indian handyman, is notorious for his binges, his rat-catching prowess, and his mysterious departures from town. Jayell Crooms, a gifted but rebellious architect, is stuck in a loveless marriage to a conventional woman intent on climbing the social ladder. Crooms’s vision of a new Ape Yard, rebuilt by its own residents, unites the four—and puts them on a collision course with a small-town Machiavelli who rules the community like a feudal lord. Jeff Fields’s exuberantly defined characters and his firmly rooted sense of place have earned A Cry of Angels an intensely loyal following. Its republication, more than three decades since it first appeared, is cause for celebration. “A humdinger . . . even better than To Kill a Mockingbird . . . funny, touching, and gripping.”—Chicago Daily News “Heartwarming . . . We find ourselves wondering why delightful novels like this aren’t written anymore, and grateful that this one has come along to fill the void.”—The New York Times “A flooded-with-life novel with a story to tell and characters to be cherished.”—Boston Sunday Globe

Every foul word she could think of came from her mouth, but how could she blame God, it wasn't God's fault God gave those children to her it was left up to her to take care of those babies, instead she stayed in a drunken stupor thinking only of her own selfish wants she abused and misused her own children. The kind of angels who unknowingly intercept a suicide attempt through a gentle act of kindness, beam messages of hope over an old CB radio, or provide patient care in a duck suit. As you read the stories in this book, your spirit will be inspired and the strings of your heart tuned to opportunities for you to be a little bit of heaven right here on earth.

Rather than taking as his point of departure the intentions of composers and librettists, he is primarily concerned with the expectations and desires of the audience. He reports on an informal group interview with overnight standees on the Paris Opera House steps as they compare notes on how opera became an addiction.

Book When Angels Cry

  • Author : Robert Wright

  • Release : 2006
  • ISBN : 0595381456
  • Pages : 355 pages

Download or read book When Angels Cry written by Robert Wright and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2006 with total page 355 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book culminates years of study and research by its writer, Robert Wright. While still a child, Robert, intrigued by discussions held by his parents and family friends as they celebrated the Sabbath hours on Friday evenings and Saturdays, developed a love for Bible prophecy and history. Educated in both public and private Christian schools, Robert has a Masters degree in Educational Psychology. Of his many interests, Bible prophecy is his passion. In this book, the writer examines Seventh-day Adventists beliefs concerning Babylon the Great. He addresses the issues head-on, challenging traditional views, providing alternative perspectives, yet leaving in tact the essential truths espoused by the church regarding the Papacy. The symbols of Revelation 12, 17, and 18 are re-examined as the writer presents evidence that suggests Babylon the Great does not symbolize the Papacy as traditionally taught. This book offers a bible-based defense of what Babylon symbolizes. Most importantly, this book encourages the reader to rely on the Bible as its own expositor, the only source upon which to establish faith as it introduces compelling insights regarding the message of the angel of Revelation 18. The message of this angel, the fourth angel's message, accompanied by the outpouring of the Latter Rain, represents God's final warning to the inhabitants of a planet destined for destruction. Yet at the same time, the message offers hope, a means of escape for all people that heed the Divine invitation to come out of Babylon.
