Book Foundations of Analytic Methods of Stereophotogrammetric Preparation of Materials of Aerial Photography

Download or read book Foundations of Analytic Methods of Stereophotogrammetric Preparation of Materials of Aerial Photography written by Nikolai Dmitrievich Il'inskii and published by . This book was released on 1967 with total page 178 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book treats of various aspects of aerial photogrammetry in three main parts. Part I introduces the exact analytical relationships between the coordinates of perspectively conjugate points of oblique and vertical aerial photographs, employing various auxiliary coordinate systems located in the plane of inclination of the photograph. The accuracy of working formulae is also investigated, and approximation formulae which satisfy preestablished requirements for accuracy and those used to determine or orientation elements and the elevations of ground points, depending upon the absolute values of the angles of inclination of aerial photos, terrain relief, etc. are given. Part II discusses the determination of relative orientation elements and the substantiation of their different systems. Part III gives formulae which combine corrections for x-parallax measurements with relative orientation elements, depending upon the accepted system of relative (or exterior) orientation and the chosen initial direction in which a pair of overlapping aerial photographs were oriented in the apparatus. Electronic computers are being used to some degree in the Soviet Union for photogrammetric computations.

Book Small Format Aerial Photography

Download or read book Small Format Aerial Photography written by James S. Aber and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 2010-05-28 with total page 279 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: As the need for geographical data rapidly expands in the 21st century, so too do applications of small-format aerial photography for a wide range of scientific, commercial and governmental purposes. Small-format Aerial Photography (SFAP) presents basic and advanced principles and techniques with an emphasis on digital cameras. Unmanned platforms are described in considerable detail, including kites, helium and hot-air blimps, model airplanes, and paragliders. Several case studies, primarily drawn from the geosciences, are presented to demonstrate how SFAP is actually used in various applications. Many of these integrate SFAP with ground-based investigations as well as conventional large-format aerial photography, satellite imagery, and other kinds of geographic information. Full-color photographs throughout Case studies from around the globe Techniques presented allow for image resolution impossible to match via traditional aerial photography or satellite datasets Glossary clarifies key terms
