Book Analysis of Thin wire Antennas in the Presence of a Dielectric and or Ferrite Inhomogeneity

Download or read book Analysis of Thin wire Antennas in the Presence of a Dielectric and or Ferrite Inhomogeneity written by Pravit Tulyathan and published by . This book was released on 1976 with total page 38 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A moment method solution for treating thin-wire antennas in the presence of an arbitrary dielectric and/or ferrite inhomogeneity is presented. The wire is modeled by an equivalent surface current density and the dielectric/ferrite inhomogeneity is modeled by equivalent volume polarization currents. The conduction currents on the wire and the polarization currents in the dielectric/ferrite inhomogeneity are treated as independent unknowns and determined in the moment method solution. The method is applied to the problem of a loop antenna loaded with dielectric or ferrite. Numerical results are presented, and are in good agreement with measurements and previous calculations. The material contained in this report is also used as a Thesis submitted to the Department of Electrical Engineering, The Ohio State University as partial fulfillment for the degree Master of Science. Book Antennas in Inhomogeneous Media

Download or read book Antennas in Inhomogeneous Media written by Janis Galejs and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 2013-10-22 with total page 312 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Antennas in Inhomogeneous Media details the methods of analyzing antennas in such inhomogeneous media. The title covers the complex geometrical configurations along with its variational formulations. The coverage of the text includes various conditions the antennas are subjected to, such as antennas in the interface between two media; antennas in compressible isotropic plasma; and linear antennas in a magnetoionic medium. The selection also covers insulated loops in lossy media; slot antennas with a stratified dielectric or isotropic plasma layers; and cavity-backed slot antennas. The book will be of great use to electrical, communications, and radio engineers.

Book Electromagnetics and Antenna Technology

Download or read book Electromagnetics and Antenna Technology written by Alan J. Fenn and published by Artech House. This book was released on 2017-12-31 with total page 481 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Written by a leading expert in the field, this practical new resource presents the fundamentals of electromagnetics and antenna technology. This book covers the design, electromagnetic simulation, fabrication, and measurements for various types of antennas, including impedance matching techniques and beamforming for ultrawideband dipoles, monopoles, loops, vector sensors for direction finding, HF curtain arrays, 3D printed nonplanar patch antenna arrays, waveguides for portable radar, reflector antennas, and other antennas. It explores the essentials of phased array antennas and includes detailed derivations of important field equations, and a detailed formulation of the method of moments. This resource exhibits essential derivations of equations, providing readers with a strong foundation of the underpinnings of electromagnetics and antennas. It includes a complete chapter on the details of antenna and electromagnetic test and measurement. This book explores details on 3D printed non-planar circular patch array antenna technology and the design and analysis of a planar array-fed axisymmetric gregorian reflector. The lumped-element impedance matched antennas are examined and include a look at an analytic impedance matching solution with a parallel LC network. This book provides key insight into many aspects of antenna technology that have broad applications in radar and communications.

Book Dielectric Resonator Antennas

Download or read book Dielectric Resonator Antennas written by Kwai Man Luk and published by Research Studies Press Limited. This book was released on 2003 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The use of dielectric resonator as a resonant antenna was proposed in 1983. Due to the absence of metallic loss, the dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) is highly efficient when operated at millimetre wave frequencies. With the use of high dielectric constant material, the DRA can also be used as a small and low profile antenna operated at low microwave frequencies. Low cost dielectric materials are now easily available commercially, encouraging more antenna engineers to design communication systems with DRAs.
