Por una parte, la producción de materiales educativos, que incluyó el registro y edición de clases y la generación de entrevistas ilustrativas para las carreras del Centro; la sistematización de experiencias y prácticas; la intervención en proyectos comunitarios; la síntesis de trabajo de campo y grupos de enfoque en investigaciones; la grabación de instancias de debate. Por otra parte, el área se centró en la producción específicamente institucional: materiales para la web y de difusión de actividades: producción de ciclos temáticos a solicitud de otras organizaciones; realización de documentales; rastreo de voces en eventos como congresos, foros y jornadas. La tercera línea se liga a la formación específica en el área audiovisual, a través de talleres de producción, realización y redacción (con niños/as, adolescentes y jóvenes, estudiantes de comunicación, docentes y líderes comunitarios) y en la formación de pasantes o en la orientación de jóvenes profesionales con escasa experiencia en la producción audiovisual. Este libro da cuenta de esas tres líneas de trabajo. Es útil para quienes pretendan producir con intencionalidad educativa, para quienes integren organizaciones y para comunicadores/as que quieran ingresar al mundo audiovisual, más allá del análisis. Both are members of the Society for the History of Discoveries and have written extensively on the history of navigation and on Columbus's first voyage, Although they remain unconvinced of its conclusions, both were consultants to the National geographic Society's 1986 effort to establish Samana Cay as the site of Columbus's first landing.
