En estas metodologías el estudiante tiene un papel protagonista en su formación y pasa de ser un receptor pasivo de información a ser un personaje activo en la búsqueda, selección, manejo y procesamiento de la información.Al profesor actual, por lo tanto, se le exige un incremento en sus capacidades y una apertura en su visión docente; la idea es acercar al mundo real el aprendizaje de sus alumnos (Riesco, 2008). Esto supone la inevitable necesidad de centrar el discurso en la formación de docentes.La realidad actual centrada en las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación (TIC) se impone, y está mediatizando esta transformación de los modos de enseñanza. Según Pontes (2005) es de suma importancia la formación del profesorado para sacar provecho de estas herramientas mediante un cambio metodológico que “favorezca la reflexión y la interacción de los alumnos”. Entre todas las formas que adoptan las nuevas tecnologías nos interesan especialmente los audiovisuales en todos sus formatos (TV, vídeos y postcards en YouTube y otros canales, vídeos en webs, uso de vídeo en móviles, etc.). El lenguaje audiovisual está presente en el entorno de los alumnos de Primaria y de Secundaria (Aguaded, 2005)...

Careful study of these experiences might help successful productive development policies gain currency across the region. The cases in this book should not be seen as the exceptions that prove the rule of lackluster PDP performance, but rather as examples that demonstrate the rule can be broken.
