Book HAND BOOK OF ORAL RADIOLOGY

Download or read book HAND BOOK OF ORAL RADIOLOGY written by DR. DIPTI SINGH and published by Shashwat Publication. This book was released on 2023-11-23 with total page 178 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The use of radiographs and other imaging techniques plays an important role not only in the diagnosis but also in the treatment planning of patients with disorders of the face, jaws and the teeth. Today, we can’t imagine practice in any discipline of dentistry without this important aid. It would take a lifetime of clinical experience to encounter the whole range of the orofacial disorders and to become familiar with the varied radiographic appearances of the same condition. As there is no real substitute for personal experience, it is hoped that a collection and interpretation of radiographs will help to accelerate the learning process and will provide a reference for less common clinical conditions. It is not an easy task to interpret a good quality radiograph and so it is impossible to interpret a radiograph, which is not of good quality. So an essential or important criteria for the radiograph to be of diagnostic value is good quality. This book is an attempt has been made to study and understand there imaging principles applied to dentistry in detail.

Book Orthodontic Diagnosis

Download or read book Orthodontic Diagnosis written by Thomas Rakosi and published by Thieme. This book was released on 1993 with total page 288 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: An illustrated guide for the complex process of orthodontic diagnostics and indication. The total process of treatment planning including the scientific bases is pictorially described. Beside the conventional methods of examination and model analysis, emphasis is placed on the cranio-facial growth processes, the aetiology of malocclusions and on the importance of functional analysis. The following three aspects are described in detail in this book: Growth of the Facial Skeleton - types of treatment which promote or guide growth. In order to control these natural processes artificially, a precise understanding of them is required. Aetiology of the Malocclusion - the various types of causative therapy and the elimination of the causes. Functional Analysis - many malocclusions are a result of dysfunctions. As a variety of methods are available for treating dysfunctions, functional analysis is taken very seriously.

Download or read book Facial Geometry written by Robert M. George and published by Charles C Thomas Publisher. This book was released on 2007 with total page 98 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Forensic art may be defined as 'portrait art minus a tangible subject.' The main objective of this book is to present a series of practical indices interrelating the key features of the human face that will provide a foundation for any exercise in forensic art from composite sketch to post-mortem 're-facing.' These indices are illustrated with a survey of the numerous and often surprising geometric forms that permeate facial design. The various triangles and rectangles, rhomboids and trapezoids, parallelograms and circles that define the human face (the theme) and give it individuality (variations on the theme) are examined. The chapters provide necessary information to define the cephalometric points, planes, areas and lines that demarcate the human face, including the detailed surface anatomy of the eye, nose, mouth and ear. The underlying geometry of the human facial plan is revealed, illustrating a selection of triangles, rectangles, and other polygons. The graphic facial analysis (GFA) of the frontal face is covered, with sixteen indices and triangles defining and illustrating their means and ranges of variation. The GFA details the lateral face by means of eight angles and indices with special attention given to the nose and ear. With 45 illustrations and two tables in this clear and comprehensive text, this book leaves little to the imagination and is truly a unique treatise and source of information.
