Schnlze were all collected daring the years 1885-1900 by the Naturalists of the Royal Indian Marine Survey Ship "Investigator." As to the ways and means by which they came to be collected and to be deposited in the Indian Museum, I may refer to the preface of certain other of the Trustees' publications, namely, to the Catalogue of Indian Deep Sea Fishes, to the Account of the Investigator Deep Sea Brachyura, and to the Account of the Investigator Deep Sea Madreporaria.
