Book excerpt: "Love and Gratitude" is a compilation of two noted essays by the author:The first essay uncovers secrets of Love and how readers may experience love flowing from and to them in all areas of their lives. Exploring the many dimensions of Love: as supply, as forgiveness, as the Source, as outward expression, the author affirms that in order to experience and express Love it is necessary to come into a new understanding of Love and its source. The author emphasizes that individuals do not have the capacity to "be more loving." Rather, "There remains but one way to bring peace on earth and that is through spiritual means." As individuals begin to practice the principles of divine Love, they become as a "sun" of Love touching their entire universe. The essay, "Gratitude" was a divine impartation received by the author and shared with others. Here the principles are presented with a vitality that invites in-depth study. "Gratitude has a meaning far beyond the word gratitude, itself, or even any idea connected with gratitude. It goes deep into the reality of being." Like the essay on Love, Goldsmith opens facets of gratitude which are at the heart of the deepest universal spiritual principles. "The infinity of good must unfold from within you, through you, to the world." This is a booklet that may well be carried in purse or pocket until well worn.

Book The Keys to a Happy and Fulfilling Life as a Couple

This book was released on 2022-08-01 with total page 184 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: YouaEUR(tm)re holding in your hands now, Solutions to all of your relationship challenges for now and the future. One of the finest book about love and forgiveness we have ever read, this inspiring book guides us how to reach the full potential to a lasting commitment of joy, peace, forgiveness, and endless love while fulfilling yourself daily. The best-loved teaching and forgiveness show us how we can transform all life difficulties of the couple into a valuable opportunity for building a healthy relationship we have been looking for a long time. When weaEUR(tm)re talking about love or forgiveness, is there really Western or Eastern love? Does not everyone seek happiness, joy, peace, unconditional love, financial security? Do we not seek a wise, intelligent, and captivating man or woman to build forgiveness and love based on mutual respect, understanding, responsibility, integrity and humility, faithfulness, effective communication, family, and community spirit? Human being is perfectly imperfect, but we can be perfected in love, forgiveness, and kindness. Each of us has already been hurt, betrayed, and despised by our wife or our husband, and would like to hear the words: aEURoeI apologize sincerely,aEUR aEURoeI am sorry for everything that has happened between us,aEUR aEURoeI truly regret everything,aEUR aEURoeI love you tremendously,aEUR aEURoeYou are adorable,aEUR aEURoeWe will get there. I trust you,aEUR aEURoeI promise to be faithful, supportive, and loyal.aEUR ShouldnaEUR(tm)t you also think about forgiving, loving, having patience for your husband and for your wife who was yesterday the prince charming or the woman of your dreams who no longer has any value in your eyes today? YouaEUR(tm)re saying, aEURoeHeaEUR(tm)s my enemy.aEUR ArenaEUR(tm)t you someone elseaEUR(tm)s enemy? Our greatest enemy, isnaEUR(tm)t that ourselves? When you remind your husband of things that have happened in the last twenty years, or explain to your friends and colleagues the private life of your relationship or the mistakes of either one of you, arenaEUR(tm)t you destroying the relationship by thinking youaEUR(tm)re hurting your husband or wife? Teeth sometimes bite the tongue, but they remain together. Let us be merciful and slow to anger, rich in kindness and fidelity. Love is patient; it is full of greatness and sacrifice. Should we not be a source of love in order to know the height, depth, length, and width of love? Love is strong as death. Death, life, and environmental difficulties can never overcome immeasurable love. At the point where we have reached, let us walk with the same step, eye to eye, hand in hand, with the same vision. We have a lot more in common than you think. I only have a minute. Sixty seconds in it. Forced upon me, I did not choose it, but I know that I must use it. Give account if I abuse it. Suffer, if I lose it. Only a tiny little minute, But eternity is in it. (Rep. Elijah Cummings) DonaEUR(tm)t ever make decisions based on fear. Make decisions based on hope and possibility. Make decisions based on what should happen, not what shouldnaEUR(tm)t. (Michelle Obama) To forgive is to set a prisoner free and discover that the prisoner was you. (Lewis B. Smedes) Real integrity is doing the right thing, knowing that nobodyaEUR(tm)s going to know whether you did it or not. (Oprah Winfrey) Blame keeps wounds open. Only forgiveness heals. (Thomas S. Manson)

Book Mallarm Wagner Music and Poetic Language

Download or read book Mallarm Wagner Music and Poetic Language written by Heath Lees and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2017-07-05 with total page 272 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book challenges and replaces the existing view of Mallarm mission to 're-possess' music on behalf of poetic language. Traditionally, this view focused on only the last fifteen years of the poet's life, and sprang from a belief in Mallarm 'sudden awakening' to music during an all-Wagner concert in Paris, in 1885. Professor Heath Lees shows that Mallarm early knowledge and experience of music was much greater than commentators have realized, and that the French poet actually began his writing career with the explicit aim of making music's performance-language of 'effect' the ground of his poetic expression. Integral to the argument is Mallarm reaction to the work and ideas of Richard Wagner, whose impact on France came in two waves: the first broke during the tempestuous 1860s days of the Paris Tannhäuser, while the second arrived in the mid-1880s, and gave birth to the Revue Wagn enne. In refuting the critical literature that focuses on only the second of these waves, Lees shows that Mallarm xhibited a highly informed Wagnerian background during the first wave, and that his grasp of the composer's gestural motives and flexible musical prose led him towards a new kind of self-expressive, gestural rhythm that aimed musically to reinvent poetic language. In support of this, the book examines closely what Wagner 'really' said in the prose works that were becoming known in Paris by the 1860s, in particular, Wagner's important French text, the Lettre sur la musique. It also re-examines Baudelaire's classic Wagner-brochure, and reveals its author's surprisingly firm grasp of Wagner's musico-poetic fusion. In musically informed commentary, Professor Lees surveys the four decades of success and failure that resulted from Mallarm repeated attempts to draw out the musical gestures and resonances of words alone. In the process, he throws new light on many of Mallarm best-known texts, hitherto judged 'difficult' by those who have failed to

Book Oscar Wilde and the Simulacrum

Download or read book Oscar Wilde and the Simulacrum written by Giles Whiteley and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2017-07-05 with total page 373 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Oscar Wilde is more than a name, more than an author. From precocious Oxford undergraduate to cause celebre of the West End of the 1890s, to infamous criminal, the proper name Wilde has become an event in the history of literature and culture. Taking Wilde seriously as a philosopher in his own right, Whiteley's groundbreaking book places his texts into their philosophical context in order to show how Wilde broke from his peers, and in particular from idealism, and challenges recent neo-historicist readings of Wilde which seem content to limit his irruptive power. Using the paradoxical concept of the simulacrum to resituate Wilde's work in relation to both his precursors and his contemporaries, Whiteley's study reads Wilde through Deleuze and postmodern philosophical commentary on the simulacrum. In a series of striking juxtapositions, Whiteley challenges us to rethink both Oscar Wilde's aesthetics and his philosophy, to take seriously both the man and the mask. His philosophy of masks is revealed to figure a truth of a different kind - the simulacra through which Wilde begins to develop and formulate a mature philosophy that constitutes an ethics of joy.
