Download or read book Amour et crises dans la famille recompos e written by Catherine Audibert and published by Éditions Payot. This book was released on 2019-11-06T00:00:00+01:00 with total page 240 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Ma famille recompos e

Download or read book Ma famille recompos e written by Élodie Cingal and published by Éditions Tournez la page. This book was released on 2017-02-22 with total page 186 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book The Postdivorce Family

Download or read book The Postdivorce Family written by Ross A. Thompson and published by SAGE Publications. This book was released on 1999-03-31 with total page 271 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: With about one half of all marriages ending in divorce today, it is safe to say that nearly everyone will be or has been affected by divorce in some way. For many, it does not mean the end to a family. Focusing on the consequences of divorce for children, The Postdivorce Family examines the stressors that divorce can create; adjustment problems among children of divorce; the issue of resilience for children; and individual differences in the psychological adjustment to divorce. The authors also examine the parents′ responsibilities after divorce, including custody issues, child support orders, and nonresidential parenting. This book concludes with a section that explores the effects of a high divorce rate in society, including how the prevalence of divorce has changed the family form and structural factors that have contributed to various social problems. With this volume, the authors hope to incite analysis and reflection of the issues surrounding divorce and their implications for public policy. This book integrates the empirical research and policy perspectives of several scholars in various disciplines including psychology, sociology, human development, law, and social work.

Book Nanopolitics Handbook

Download or read book Nanopolitics Handbook written by Nanpolitics Nanpolitics Group and published by . This book was released on 2014-01-15 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "The invention of new modes of sensibility is vital to enriching and sustaining political engagements, labours and lives in the situated contexts of urban collectivity. The nanopolitics handbook investigates the neoliberal city and workplace, the politics of crisis and austerity, precarious lives and modes of collaboration - through bodies and their encounters. Starting from the exploration of what bodies can do - with curiosity, courage and care - nanopolitics is a proposal for producing new collective subjectivations. Based on the experiments and experiences of the nanopolitics group, this book proposes exercises, concepts and ideas as little maps and machines for action. Drawing on social movements, grassroots organizing, dance, theatre and bodywork, the reflections and practices here present strategies for navigating and reconfiguring the playing field of 'nanopolitics', activating its entanglement with the major politics of our time"--Publisher's description

Book Changing Families Changing Responsibilities

Download or read book Changing Families Changing Responsibilities written by Marilyn Coleman and published by Psychology Press. This book was released on 1999-05-01 with total page 378 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book explores the topic of family obligations following changes in family structure caused by divorce and remarriage. Family obligations are commonly defined as the rights and duties that accompany family roles. They have been described as the "glue" that connects generations, as well as the "oughts" and "shoulds" that surround individual family relationships. This book is primarily concerned with normative beliefs about what family members should do for each other. It differs from previous accounts of family obligation norms because it specifically focuses on family responsibilities after divorce and remarriage, two events that affect an increasing number of families today. The authors draw extensively upon the findings of 13 studies of normative beliefs regarding post-divorce intergenerational family obligations. This book fills a gap in the present literature concerning family obligation. It addresses the weaknesses of prior research by focusing on family transitions and by presenting data from studies that employ contextual methods. The content will provide guidance to policymakers and helping professionals who work with families, and the unique focus and procedures of the studies are likely to set the standard for future assessments of normative beliefs about family obligations.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In theory the CMPS was set up to enshrine the human and social studies that were at the heart of Enlightenment culture. Staum illustrates, however, that the Institute helped transform key ideas of the Enlightenment in order to maintain civil rights while upholding social stability, and that the social and political assumptions on which it was based affected notions of social science. He traces the careers of individual members and the factions within the Institute, arguing that the discord within the CMPS reflects the unravelling of Enlightenment culture. Minerva's Message presents a valuable overview of the intellectual life of the period and brings together new evidence about the social sciences in their nascent period.
