Book excerpt: Au cours de la formation préclinique, le développement des compétences théoriques et procédurales complexes sont acquises par les étudiants à l'aide de simulations réalisées au travers de travaux pratiques. Concernant l'odontologie restauratrice, les modèles de dents en plastique monoblocs traditionnellement utilisés ne permettent pas de soutenir la formation des étudiants à la prise en charge actuelle des lésions carieuses. Depuis quelques années, des modèles de dents artificielles imprimés en 3D commencent à voir le jour. Dans ce travail de thèse, nous chercherons à améliorer et à évaluer de nouveaux modèles de dents artificielles imprimés en 3D. Après avoir présenté les modèles et avancées précédemment réalisés par le Dr Gattoni durant son travail de thèse d'exercice, nous présenterons les différents axes d'amélioration que nous pourrions réaliser. Dans la troisième partie, nous réaliserons une revue systématique de la littérature afin de recenser les propositions de modèles pédagogiques imprimés en 3D qui ont été évalués. Enfin, nous présenterons le développement de modèles de dents artificielles améliorés et les résultats de leur évaluation par des étudiants de l'École de Médecine Dentaire de Marseille.
