Book The Voice of the Seven Thunders

Download or read book The Voice of the Seven Thunders written by George Kevyn Weber and published by Author House. This book was released on 2014-07-18 with total page 795 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There is no time for the people of the world to waste to decide to change their ways and their ways of living. The world is in a crisis that it has not been in before. Actually the world has been in countless crises in the past, before disaster, calamity or catastrophe struck the people of the earth. We are not talking of crises of natural disasters, calamities or catastrophes that have hit the earth, we are talking about man made, man engineered and man designed disasters, calamities and catastrophes that have hit the world from time to time. History is full of them and apart from those natural disasters caused by God or the Devil themselves; the rest were caused by man themselves. Now this revelation is not about the natural but about the spiritual. Power mad dictators, rulers and potentates the world over are normally the cause of these disasters, calamities and catastrophes and nature has little to do with them although they did affect nature, in some way or another. Small and great Wars were started by whosoever caused them without any due regard of men's lives, and the resultant horrors, hardships and horrendous pain, lived on in the hearts and lives of the people that survived. No one can add these things up nor can they count the cost in human suffering, misery and pain, nor the cost of men's souls lost all for the sake of man's vanity. "The current synopsis is catchy and intriguing. This synopsis is well written and it will entice readers into picking this book up and reading it." - Cynthia Sherman Writer's Literary & Publishing Services, Critique Division

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Hello there. When I was thirty-eight years old, I discovered that I am the original Jesus Christ, and when that happened, I knew for sure that this was the greatest discovery that was a culmination of every great discovery and accomplishment that came before. At that point, as the scientist that I am, I knew that my duty to the world was to write down every one of my thoughtforms to share with humanity because my thoughtforms allow all to live their Christ-selves effortlessly because they actually make up the divine superstructure of the universe. So in reading these thoughtforms, they are being activated in your true awareness so that you are able to consciously understand what makes up the original Christ mind and what bridges the gap into your real Christ-self. This book is part 1 of the construction of the fifth dimension because as Christ, I was able to defeat Satan in the Battle of Armageddon. I will describe in depth how that happened, and that started the fifth dimension, of which these thoughtforms are the divine bolts that were invented by me to allow us effortless divinity.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In order, then, to attach ourselves to this great means of salvation, we must first of all consider how necessary it is to us, and how powerful it is to obtain for us all the graces that we can desire from God, if we know how to ask for them as we ought. Hence, in the first part, we will speak first of the necessity and power of prayer; and next, of the conditions necessary to make it efficacious with God. Then, in the second part, we will show that the grace of prayer is given to all; and there we will treat of the manner in which grace ordinarily operates. Aeterna Press

Book excerpt: When is the pen mightier than the sword? The pen became my weapon of choice to battle against life. I have gone from one traumatic event to the next and I will admit I have reached the tower on more than one occasion. I am still here and throughout this book I would like to share my experiences, my thoughts and my actions also how contradictory it is that I have become the person that I am to this very day. Poetry is not a dying art, it just needs to be revived back into general society. People either as confident as they seem or they think they are, will at some point in their lives need reassurance, understanding, empathy, sympathy and most importantly, the love of another human being. We all need to know that no matter how bad things seem, keep hold because not all hope is not lost in life, but instead a mere hurdle in the way that will eventually be removed upon finding resolve. The introduction is actual factors of my life and the poetry I have wrote was my way of surviving

Book Perfection s Therapy

  • Author : Mitchell B. Merback
  • Publisher : MIT Press

Download or read book Perfection s Therapy written by Mitchell B. Merback and published by MIT Press. This book was released on 2018-02-09 with total page 361 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A deft reinterpretation of the most zealously interpreted picture in the Western canon as a therapeutic artifact. Albrecht Dürer's famous portrayal of creative effort in paralysis, the unsurpassed masterpiece of copperplate engraving titled Melencolia I, has stood for centuries as a pictorial summa of knowledge about the melancholic temperament, a dense allegory of the limits of earthbound arts and sciences and the impossibility of attaining perfection. Dubbed the “image of images” for being the most zealously interpreted picture in the Western canon, Melencolia I also presides over the origins of modern iconology, art history's own science of meaning. Yet we are left with a clutter of mutually contradictory theories, a historiographic ruin that confirms the mood of its object. In Perfection's Therapy, Mitchell Merback reopens the case file and argues for a hidden intentionality in Melencolia's opacity, its structural “chaos,” and its resistance to allegorical closure. That intentionality, he argues, points toward a fascinating possibility never before considered: that Dürer's masterpiece is not only an arresting diagnosis of melancholic distress, but an innovative instrument for its undoing. Merback deftly resituates Dürer's image within the long history of the therapeutic artifact. Placing Dürer's therapeutic project in dialogue with that of humanism's founder, Francesco Petrarch, Merback also unearths Dürer's ambition to act as a physician of the soul. Celebrated as the "Apelles of the black line" in his own day, and ever since as Germany's first Renaissance painter-theorist, the Dürer we encounter here is also the first modern Christian artist, addressing himself to the distress of souls, including his own. Melencolia thus emerges as a key reference point in a venture of spiritual-ethical therapy, a work designed to exercise the mind, restore the body's equilibrium, and help in getting on with the undertaking of perfection.

Book Cinderland

Download or read book Cinderland written by Amy Jo Burns and published by Beacon Press. This book was released on 2014-10-07 with total page 217 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A riveting literary debut about the cost of keeping quiet Amy Jo Burns grew up in Mercury, Pennsylvania, an industrial town humbled by the steel collapse of the 1980s. Instead of the construction booms and twelve-hour shifts her parents’ generation had known, the Mercury Amy Jo knew was marred by empty houses, old strip mines, and vacant lots. It wasn’t quite a ghost town—only because many people had no choice but to stay. The year Burns turned ten, this sleepy town suddenly woke up. Howard Lotte, its beloved piano teacher, was accused of sexually assaulting his female students. Among the countless girls questioned, only seven came forward. For telling the truth, the town ostracized these girls and accused them of trying to smear a good man’s reputation. As for the remaining girls—well, they were smarter. They lied. Burns was one of them. But such a lie has its own consequences. Against a backdrop of fire and steel, shame and redemption, Burns tells of the boys she ran from and toward, the friends she abandoned, and the endless performances she gave to please a town that never trusted girls in the first place. This is the story of growing up in a town that both worshipped and sacrificed its youth—a town that believed being a good girl meant being a quiet one—and the long road Burns took toward forgiving her ten-year-old self. Cinderland is an elegy to that young girl’s innocence, as well as a praise song to the curative powers of breaking a long silence.
