However, an NREL/DOE study of three snowplow and road maintenance trucks (two fueled with E95--a 95%/5% blend of ethanol--and one with gasoline) in Minneapolisconcluded that, with some refinements in maintenance and repair and a likely reduction in prices, the use of ethanol in heavy-duty vehicles (HDVs) could be a commercial success.
