Book MODIFICATION DU PHENOTYPE SEXUEL ET DU MODE DE REPRODUCTION CHEZ LES POISSONS SALMONIDES

Download or read book MODIFICATION DU PHENOTYPE SEXUEL ET DU MODE DE REPRODUCTION CHEZ LES POISSONS SALMONIDES written by BERNARD.. CHEVASSUS AU LOUIS and published by . This book was released on 1998 with total page 158 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: CETTE THESE S'APPUIE SUR UN ENSEMBLE DE TRAVAUX PERSONNELS, PUBLIES DE 1975 A 1992, SUR LA MODIFICATION EXPERIMENTALE DES MODALITES DE LA REPRODUCTION CHEZ LES POISSONS SALMONIDES. LE PREMIER CHAPITRE EST INTRODUIT PAR L'EXAMEN DE L'EVOLUTION DES IDEES SUR LE DETERMINISME DU SEXE CHEZ LES POISSONS DEPUIS LE DEBUT DU SIECLE. LES TRAVAUX EXPERIMENTAUX PERSONNELS REALISES CHEZ LA TRUITE ARC-EN-CIEL (ONCORHYNCHUS MYKISS) ET LA TRUITE COMMUNE (SALMO TRUTTA) SONT ENSUITE EXPOSES. ILS ONT PORTE D'UNE PART SUR L'INVERSION HORMONALE PARTIELLE (PRODUCTION D'HERMAPHRODITES) OU TOTALE DU PHENOTYPE SEXUEL, D'AUTRE PART SUR L'INDUCTION DE LA GYNOGENESE DIPLOIDE. L'ETUDE DES SEX-RATIOS DES GROUPES D'ANIMAUX RESULTANT DE CES TRAITEMENTS A PERMIS DE CONCLURE NETTEMENT A L'EXISTENCE D'UN MODELE DE DETERMINISME GENETIQUE DU SEXE DU TYPE MALE HETEROGAMETIQUE CHEZ CES ESPECES. LA FIN DU CHAPITRE SITUE CE MODELE PAR RAPPORT AUX DONNEES BIBLIOGRAPHIQUES RECENTES ET PROPOSE UNE LECTURE EVOLUTIVE DE LA DIVERSITE DES PHENOTYPES SEXUELS DES POISSONS. LE SECOND CHAPITRE DEBUTE PAR UNE REVUE DES OBSERVATIONS D'HYBRIDES ET DE POLYPLOIDES NATURELS, EN EXAMINANT PLUS PARTICULIEREMENT LE CAS OU CES GENOTYPES SONT OBSERVES A UNE FREQUENCE RELATIVEMENT ELEVEE. IL SE POURSUIT PAR UNE PRESENTATION DES RESULTATS PERSONNELS OBTENUS SUR L'INDUCTION DE LA TRIPLOIDIE ET DE LA TETRAPLOIDIE ET SUR LA CARACTERISATION DES ANIMAUX OBTENUS, EN TERMES DE VIABILITE, CROISSANCE ET FERTILITE. LES NOMBREUSES EXPERIENCES REALISEES POUR PRECISER LES POSSIBILITES D'HYBRIDATION INTERSPECIFIQUE CHEZ LES SALMONIDES SONT ENSUITE RELATEES. HYBRIDATION ET INDUCTION DE LA TRIPLOIDIE SONT ENFIN COMBINEES POUR OBTENIR ET CARACTERISER DES HYBRIDES TRIPLOIDES VIABLES ENTRE LA TRUITE ARC-EN-CIEL FEMELLE ET PLUSIEURS AUTRES SALMONIDES UTILISES COMME MALES. L'INTERET DE CES METHODES POUR OBTENIR DES ANIMAUX STERILES RESISTANT AUX VIROSES EST PARTICULIEREMENT SOULIGNE. LE CHAPITRE EXAMINE POUR FINIR L'IMPORTANCE DE LA DEPRESSION DE TRIPLOIDIE RELATEE DANS LA LITTERATURE SUR DIVERSES ESPECES ET LES MECANISMES RESPONSABLES DE CETTE DEPRESSION. LES FACTEURS CONDUISANT A LA VIABILITE ET A LA STERILITE DES HYBRIDES SONT EGALEMENT DISCUTES.

Book Biologie des poissons d eau douce europ ens 2e d

Download or read book Biologie des poissons d eau douce europ ens 2e d written by BRUSLÉ Jacques and published by Lavoisier. This book was released on 2013-07-01 with total page 802 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book Rapport de L atelier FAO NEPAD Sur Le Changement Climatique Les Catastrophes Et Les Crises Dans Le Secteur Des P ches Et de L aquaculture en Afrique Occidentale Et Centrale Accra Ghana 1 2 Novembre 2012 written by and published by . This book was released on 2014 with total page 110 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The purpose of the regional Workshop on Climate Change, Disasters and Crises in the Fisheries and Aquaculture Sector in West and Central Africa was to contribute to a process that is currently under way to determine the gaps in adaptation and disaster risk management strategies, policies and activities that aim to assist fishers, fish farmers, fish workers and the communities they live in to improve their resilience to the impacts of disasters and climate change, and to identify areas to address these gaps based on the experience of the participants. The workshop was the first of two; the second will focus on Southern and Eastern Africa. Together, they form part of the consultative process of Component C of the NEPAD-FAO Fish Programme (NFFP). The workshop addressed three main questions in respect to the fisheries and aquaculture sector and the impacts of disasters and climate change: (i) what are the impacts on and the vulnerabilities of the sector; (ii) how has the sector adapted and what can be learned from this; and (iii) what else can be done (and how) to reduce vulnerability and strengthen resilience? The workshop recommended adaptation actions at the local, national and regional levels based on practical experiences and examples of actions that have worked or not in the past. The workshop outputs will be used to complement the mapping and gap-analysis paper towards a work plan for Component C of the NFFP. The combined findings of this workshop, the forthcoming one for Southern and Eastern Africa and the mapping and gap analysis will be well placed to feed into the pan-African process of elaborating a comprehensive fisheries reform strategy and ensuring that climate change and disaster impacts are addressed for the fisheries and aquaculture sector.

Download or read book Cyprinid Fishes written by Ian J. Winfield and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 687 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Among the fishes. a remarkably wide range ofbiological adaptations to diverse habitats has evolved. As weIl as living in the conventional habitats of lakes. ponds. rivers. rock pools and the open sea. fish have solved the problems of life in deserts. in the deep sea. in the cold Antarctic. and in warm waters of high alkalinity or of low oxygen. Along with these adaptations. we find the most impressive specializations of morphology. physiology and behaviour. For example we can marvel at the high-speed swimming of the marlins. sailfish and warm-blooded tunas. air breathing in catfish and lungfish. parental care in the mouth-brooding cichlids and viviparity in many sharks and toothcarps. Moreover. fish are of considerable importance of the survival of the human species in the form ofnutritious and delicious food ofnumerous kinds. Rational exploitation and management of our global stocks of fishes must rely upon a detailed and precise insight of their biology. The Chapman and Hall Fish and Fisheries Series aims to present timely volumes reviewing important aspects of fish biology. Most volumes will be of interest to research workers in biology. zoology. ecology and physiology. but an additional aim is for the books to be accessible to a wide spectrum of non specialist readers ranging from undergraduates and postgraduates to those with an interest in industrial and commercial aspects of fish and fisheries.

Book Proceedings of the National Workshop on Effects of Habitat Alteration on Salmonid Stocks

Download or read book Proceedings of the National Workshop on Effects of Habitat Alteration on Salmonid Stocks written by Colin D. Levings and published by Fisheries and Oceans, Communications Directorate. This book was released on 1989 with total page 220 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: National workshop convened to review the latest techniques available to quantify relationships between habitat features and fish production. The workshop focused on salmonids because of their importance on both the Atlantic and Pacific coasts, but effects on other non-salmonid populations were included since data is scarce in some areas. Coverage included methodologies for the quantification of the effects of habitat alteration on yield, empirical examples of the effects of physical and chemical habitat changes on stocks, and the permissable degree of extrapolation in assigning effects of habitat alteration to a stock.
