L'objectif de l'étude était de déterminer pour les enfants nés avant 34 SA les facteurs influençant l'initiation et la poursuite jusqu'au terme d'un allaitement maternel. Méthodes : tous les enfants nés à un terme inférieur à 34 SA sur une durée de 6 mois entre 2018 et 2019 au CHU de Caen étaient inclus. Les données de grossesse, de naissance et sociodémographiques maternelles ainsi que le taux d'initiation d'un allaitement étaient relevés. Pour les enfants initialement allaités, les données issues de l'hospitalisation (notamment statut médical de l'enfant, stratégies autour de l'allaitement) et le taux d'allaitement à 36 semaines d'âge corrigé (S36) étaient prospectivement recueillis. Un questionnaire était remis à S36 aux mères ayant initié un allaitement. Résultats : quarante-huit patients étaient inclus. Trente-neuf (81.3%) étaient initialement allaités. Un haut niveau d'études, un faible nombre d'enfants à charge, un terme plus précoce et un poids plus faible à la naissance étaient associés à un taux plus important d'allaitement initié (p
