Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book is an invitation to join harbingers of the Holistic Life Awareness. All there is, is but one thing: Life. All inside and outside, above and below, in the water, air or ground, in the sky is Life. One Life. Universal Principles, unlike values, are objective and internal- innate. The principles are not an invention, but immutable laws of the Universe applied to human Life. That realisation brings us to Holistic Life Awareness, our true nature, our Spirituality. Being a Spiritual person is not the same as being a religious person. One can be spiritual without following any specific religion. Awareness of Oneness of Life and Kinship makes every separation the Life opposing ideas. The book presents the way of applying Holistic Awareness in business and as the best healing practice. As everything starts with a thought, the book offers a Thought Replacement Station to replace harmful for beneficial. Our thoughts create our feelings dictating our actions, which become our life experiences. Visit website: holisticlifeawareness.com.au

Book Faith and Spirituality in Masters of World Cinema

Download or read book Faith and Spirituality in Masters of World Cinema written by Kenneth Robert Morefield and published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing. This book was released on 2008 with total page 208 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Faith and Spirituality in Masters of World Cinema is a fascinating introduction to spiritual aspects in the works of some of the greatest filmmakers in the world, like Bergman, Dreyer and Tarkovsky, Avant Garde director Pedro Costa and Hollywood's golden boy Guillermo del Toro. It covers directors from around the world and shows diverse manifestations of spirituality in film; everything from how camera movements can imply spirituality to specific religions, like Islam and Christianity. Faith and Spirituality in Masters of World Cinema is a welcome addition to a growing library on religion and film. â "Thorkell Ottarson The essayists in Faith and Spirituality in Masters of World Cinema offer provocative studies of the often uneasy relationship that exists between religion and film, faith and reason. They never shy away from their critical burden, challenging readers to delve deeply and think more forcefully about the ethics and values that shape our cultureâ "and our lives. Faith and Spirituality in Masters of World Cinema dares us to reconsider what it means to be wholeâ "and holyâ "across the great history of film. It is a spiritual and critical journey of the highest magnitude. â "Dr. Kenneth Womack, Chair of the English Department, Penn State University at Altoona Not many works of art would withstand the rigorous examination of the kind in this collection, but Kenneth Morefield and his contributors have chosen well. They've chosen filmmakers whose work not only withstands but seems to grow under the bright light of careful consideration. I'm not familiar with all of them, which makes the collection a useful map to the currents that run below their surfaces, but I also found new ways to appreciate Pedro Costa and the Dardenne brothers whose films I've admired, even loved, but never thought about in quite this way. Reading the essays together, I discovered that this group of filmmakers, while distinct in their beliefs, approaches, and aesthetics, are all striving to reawaken our senses, and by capturing something concrete they're looking for something invisible. That they've found so many ways to do thisâ "from Del Toro's physically-rooted fantasy to Costa's material worldâ "proves that cinema may not be dead just yet, even with the twentieth century in the rear view mirror. â "Rob Davis, chief film critic of Paste Magazine; co-founder of Daily Plastic (www.dailyplastic.com).

Book The Online Shop REVOLUTION

Download or read book The Online Shop REVOLUTION written by Arno Schikowsky and published by GbR Verlag. This book was released on 2024-04-21 with total page 115 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book explores how to build a financial income empire on the side without risk, focusing on the future of online retail. It introduces the concept of customers participating in revenue without personal investment, a reality that's transforming ecommerce. With online stores ubiquitous today, shopping is more convenient for customers, but companies struggle to differentiate themselves and retain loyalty. Customer participation, already showing success, allows customers to earn from store sales without investing. A reward system boosts loyalty, offering bonuses for personal purchases and referrals, creating a network of engaged customers. This model also enables customers to help others open new stores, earning from their sales and expanding a global consumer network where customers become co-entrepreneurs. This creates a win-win situation, enhancing loyalty and collaboration between customers and stores. However, challenges exist, as stores must carefully design participation structures to prevent abuse and financial issues, ensuring legal and financial sustainability.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “Impressive . . . [Cristina García’s] story is about three generations of Cuban women and their separate responses to the revolution. Her special feat is to tell it in a style as warm and gentle as the ‘sustaining aromas of vanilla and almond,’ as rhythmic as the music of Beny Moré.”—Time Cristina García’s acclaimed book is the haunting, bittersweet story of a family experiencing a country’s revolution and the revelations that follow. The lives of Celia del Pino and her husband, daughters, and grandchildren mirror the magical realism of Cuba itself, a landscape of beauty and poverty, idealism and corruption. Dreaming in Cuban is “a work that possesses both the intimacy of a Chekov story and the hallucinatory magic of a novel by Gabriel García Márquez” (The New York Times). In celebration of the twenty-fifth anniversary of the novel’s original publication, this edition features a new introduction by the author. Praise for Dreaming in Cuban “Remarkable . . . an intricate weaving of dramatic events with the supernatural and the cosmic . . . evocative and lush.”—San Francisco Chronicle “Captures the pain, the distance, the frustrations and the dreams of these family dramas with a vivid, poetic prose.”—The Washington Post “Brilliant . . . With tremendous skill, passion and humor, García just may have written the definitive story of Cuban exiles and some of those they left behind.”—The Denver Post

Book Gustav Mahler Volume 3 Vienna Triumph and Disillusion 1904 1907

Download or read book Gustav Mahler Volume 3 Vienna Triumph and Disillusion 1904 1907 written by Henry-Louis de La Grange and published by Oxford University Press. This book was released on 1995 with total page 1056 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: When the second volume of de La Grange's monumental study of Mahler appeared, it was hailed in The New Yorker, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, and many other publications as an indispensable portrait of the great composer. Here at last is the third volume of this magisterial work. Ranging from 1904 to 1907, it explores Mahler's final years as administrator, producer, and conductor of the Vienna Opera. It was a time of intense inner struggle, with Mahler's energy and creative powers drained by the competing demands of running the Hofoper and struggling for recognition as a composer. And they were tragic years as well, especially 1907, Mahler's last year in Vienna, when the death of his daughter and the diagnosis of heart disease forced him to leave the Opera. Throughout the book, de La Grange offers true-to-life portraits of Mahler the human being, the family man, and the composer, and he weaves in innumerable testimonies and anecdotes that throw new light on the great composer's complex personality. The product of forty years of research, here is the definitive study of a musical giant. It is, as The Wall Street Journal said of volume two, "a work of the first importance, one that nobody seriously interested in Mahler can possibly afford to skip."

  • Pages : 283 pages

Download or read book Designer Genes written by Ken Harrington and published by Destiny Image Publishers. This book was released on 2011-07-28 with total page 283 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book looks at the connection between character and calling. Authority resides in a believer, not in one big bundle, but rather in the smaller compartments of their character. The recent moral failures of certain ministries were not because of their evil nature but rather indicated a lack of mature character in one or more areas. Immaturity is not evil, neither is maturity purity. Our destiny is to think like, look like, and act like Jesus. Where areas in our character have not been converted, immaturity and carnality dominate our thoughts and therefore our actions. This book is designed to be an incite into our own journey into maturity and purity. The abundance of scripture is allows the reader to hear God's point of view on each characteristic and to allow an impartation for change in those areas. The personal stories are there to show that even ordinary people can partake of His divine nature and affect their world.

Download or read book Selected Letters of Michael Tippett written by Thomas Schuttenhelm and published by Faber & Faber. This book was released on 2019-11-19 with total page 433 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Throughout his life, which spanned the greater part of the twentieth century (1905-1998), Sir Michael Tippett was a prolific letter-writer. He wrote to a vast number of people over the years, including family, friends and lovers, colleagues in the music world, journalists, poets, dramatists and politicians. Published to coincide with the centenary of Tippett's birth, these carefully selected letters provide us with a first hand account of the composer's private and professional experiences, revealing a uniquely personal view which until now has remained largely unknown to the public. Bearing witness to the atrocities and advancements of the twentieth century, these letters display a fiercely creative mind struggling to construct a universal artistic expression. His correspondence places the reader at the composer's side, within the historical moment, as a witness to the creative process. Writing open, uninhibited letters became common practice for Tippett, his candid tone lending itself to tackling a wide range of personal and social issues. From the bombing of his cottage in Oxted, to the ecstatic experience of artistic breakthrough that led to progress on a new composition, each new event and accomplishment is documented with clarity and urgency.
