Book Aliphatic and Related Natural Product Chemistry

Download or read book Aliphatic and Related Natural Product Chemistry written by Frank D Gunstone and published by Royal Society of Chemistry. This book was released on 2007-10-31 with total page 322 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Specialist Periodical Reports provide systematic and detailed review coverage of progress in the major areas of chemical research. Written by experts in their specialist fields the series creates a unique service for the active research chemist, supplying regular critical in-depth accounts of progress in particular areas of chemistry. For over 80 years the Royal Society of Chemistry and its predecessor, the Chemical Society, have been publishing reports charting developments in chemistry, which originally took the form of Annual Reports. However, by 1967 the whole spectrum of chemistry could no longer be contained within one volume and the series Specialist Periodical Reports was born. The Annual Reports themselves still existed but were divided into two, and subsequently three, volumes covering Inorganic, Organic and Physical Chemistry. For more general coverage of the highlights in chemistry they remain a 'must'. Since that time the SPR series has altered according to the fluctuating degree of activity in various fields of chemistry. Some titles have remained unchanged, while others have altered their emphasis along with their titles; some have been combined under a new name whereas others have had to be discontinued. The current list of Specialist Periodical Reports can be seen on the inside flap of this volume.

Book The Chemistry of Natural Products

Download or read book The Chemistry of Natural Products written by Ronald Hunter Thomson and published by Springer. This book was released on 1985 with total page 486 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The rapid growth of the study of natural products in recent years have been accompanied by the publication of numerous specialist monographs on alkaloids, carbohydrates, coumarins, acetylenes, terpenes, etc., and there are several on biosynthesis. In contrast general texts covering the whole field no longer exist, and a comprehensive work would be enormous. This volume aims to partly fill the gap in a modest way by describing what has been happening in the main areas of natural products research during approximately the last ten years. The emphasis is entirely on the structure, chemistry, and synthesis of natural products with only passing reference to biosynthesis.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “Frontiers in Natural Product Chemistry” is an Ebook series devoted to publishing the latest and most important advances in natural product chemistry. The Ebook series covers all aspects of research in the chemistry and biochemistry of naturally occurring compounds including coverage of work on natural substances of land and sea and of plants, microbes and animals. Discussion of structure elucidation, synthesis and experimental biosynthesis of natural products as well as developments of new methods are included. Chosen eminent scientists write contributions and each volume are devoted to major advances in natural product chemistry. Topics include the isolation, structure, biosynthesis, biological activity, and chemistry of the major groups of natural products such as alkaloids, terpenoids, steroids, aliphatic, aromatic and O-heterocyclic compounds, and other metabolites of plant, marine and microbial origins, developments in enzymology, nucleic acids, genetics, chemical ecology, primary and secondary metabolism, isolation and analytical techniques, and other areas which will be of general interest to all workers in the area. “Frontiers in Natural Product Chemistry” is essential for all scientists involved in natural product chemistry who wish to keep abreast of rapid and important developments in the field.
