Download or read book Occupied Earth written by Gary Phillips and published by Polis Books. This book was released on 2015-10-13 with total page 362 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: RESISTANCE IS ALL For years, writers and filmmakers have speculated about the possibility of the Earth being invaded by aliens from another planet. But what if the aliens have been watching us, infiltrating us via human collaborators, or even surgically altering themselves to look human? Occupied Earth is a groundbreaking anthology that explores the idea of what the world would look like years after its conquest. 20 years after a successful invasion by the Makh-Ra, humanity still exists, only it has become subservient to a race of occupiers who govern the devastated planet. But, as much at things continue with some sense of normalcy, something has happened in the Mahk-Ra’s empire. Earth, once considered a strategic beachhead of major importance to the Empire, has been downgraded in its value. Things are starting to degrade. Our planet is the last place any self-respecting Mahk-Ra officer wants to be assigned. Yet, despite everything, life continues. These stories bring us face to face with annihilation — and show how we can pull ourselves back from the brink. Featuring Rachel Howzell Hall, Lisa Morton, Matthew V. Clemens, Howard Hendrix, Nathan Walpow and more, OCCUPIED EARTH is coming. Stay safe. Stay strong. Survive at all costs.

Download or read book How to Defend Yourself Against Alien Abduction written by Ann Druffel and published by Crown. This book was released on 2010-02-17 with total page 261 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “A very powerful book . . . Druffel’s research does us all a great service.”—Dr. Edgar Mitchell, Apollo 14 astronaut and author of The Way of the Explorer In 1988 Ann Druffel, who has researched UFOs for forty years, discovered a little-known fact that had been drowned in abduction hysteria—documented evidence that people have successfully fended off attack by the “greys,” the short, big-eyed aliens now familiar through so much popular media. Using her database of 250 case studies, including seventy “resisters,” Druffel has ascertained nine techniques that witnesses use to ward off alien entities and even break off abductions in progress. And perhaps even more astonishing, this evidence points to the possible true identity of the greys and their link to the abducting entities of myth and folklore. How to Defend Yourself Against Alien Abduction covers various resistance techniques, including: • Mental Struggle: Block their mind control • Physical Struggle: Fight back • Righteous Anger: Summon your inviolate rights • Protective Rage: Guard your loved ones • Support from Family Members: Seek strength in numbers • Intuition: Sense them coming • Metaphysical Methods: Create a personal shield • Appeal to Spiritual Personages: Get help from on high • Repellents: Use time-tested fend-off substances Complete with hair-raising true tales of courage and illustrated with eyewitness sketches, How to Defend Yourself Against Alien Abduction is the only book with step-by-step instructions on what to do—and not to do—if aliens come knocking on your door.

Download or read book Enemy Alien written by Kassandra Luciuk and published by Between the Lines. This book was released on 2020-03-16 with total page 167 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This graphic history tells the story of Canada’s first national internment operations through the eyes of John Boychuk, an internee held in Kapuskasing from 1914 to 1917. The story is based on Boychuk’s actual memoir, which is the only comprehensive internee testimony in existence. The novel follows Boychuk from his arrest in Toronto to Kapuskasing, where he spends just over three years. It details the everyday struggle of the internees in the camp, including forced labour and exploitation, abuse from guards, malnutrition, and homesickness. It also documents moments of internee agency and resistance, such as work slowdowns and stoppages, hunger strikes, escape attempts, and riots. Little is known about the lives of the incarcerated once the paper trail stops, but Enemy Alien subsequently traces Boychuk’s parole, his search for work, his attempts to organize a union, and his ultimate settlement in Winnipeg. Boychuk’s reflections emphasize the much broader context in which internment takes place. This was not an isolated incident, but rather part and parcel of Canadian nation building and the directives of Canada’s settler colonial project.
