Book Partial Approvals and Partial Disapprovals of Air Quality State Implementation Plans Nevada Infrastructure Requirements Us Environmental Protection Agency Regulation 2018

Download or read book Partial Approvals and Partial Disapprovals of Air Quality State Implementation Plans Nevada Infrastructure Requirements Us Environmental Protection Agency Regulation 2018 written by Law Library and published by Createspace Independent Publishing Platform. This book was released on 2018-08-27 with total page 36 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Partial Approvals and Partial Disapprovals of Air Quality State Implementation Plans - Nevada - Infrastructure Requirements (US Environmental Protection Agency Regulation) (EPA) (2018 Edition) The Law Library presents the complete text of the Partial Approvals and Partial Disapprovals of Air Quality State Implementation Plans - Nevada - Infrastructure Requirements (US Environmental Protection Agency Regulation) (EPA) (2018 Edition). Updated as of May 29, 2018 EPA is approving in part and disapproving in part State Implementation Plan (SIP) revisions submitted by the state of Nevada pursuant to the requirements of the Clean Air Act (CAA) for the 1997 8-hour ozone national ambient air quality standards (NAAQS) and the 1997 and 2006 NAAQS for fine particulate matter (PM 2.5). The CAA requires that each State adopt and submit a SIP for the implementation, maintenance, and enforcement of each NAAQS promulgated by the EPA, and requires EPA to act on such SIPs. Nevada has met most of the applicable requirements. Where EPA is disapproving, in part, Nevada's SIP revisions, the majority of the deficiencies have been already been addressed by a federal implementation plan (FIP). For one remaining deficiency, this final rule sets a two-year deadline for EPA to promulgate a FIP, unless EPA approves an adequate SIP revision prior to that time. EPA remains committed to working with Nevada's environmental agencies to develop such a SIP revision. Download or read book Approvals and Promulgations of Implementation Plans Revisions to Nevada State Implementation Plan Stationary Source Permits Us Environmental Protection Agency Regulation Epa 2018 Edition written by The Law The Law Library and published by Createspace Independent Publishing Platform. This book was released on 2018-07-19 with total page 36 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Approvals and Promulgations of Implementation Plans - Revisions to Nevada State Implementation Plan - Stationary Source Permits (US Environmental Protection Agency Regulation) (EPA) (2018 Edition) The Law Library presents the complete text of the Approvals and Promulgations of Implementation Plans - Revisions to Nevada State Implementation Plan - Stationary Source Permits (US Environmental Protection Agency Regulation) (EPA) (2018 Edition). Updated as of May 29, 2018 EPA is finalizing a limited approval and limited disapproval of revisions to the applicable state implementation plan for the State of Nevada. The revisions include new or amended State rules governing applications for, and issuance of, permits for stationary sources, but not including review and permitting of major sources and major modifications under parts C and D of title I of the Clean Air Act. EPA is taking this action under the Clean Air Act obligation to take action on State submittals of revisions to state implementation plans. The intended effect of the limited approval and limited disapproval action is to update the applicable state implementation plan with current State rules with respect to permitting, and to set the stage for remedying deficiencies in the permitting rules with respect to certain new or revised national ambient air quality standards. This limited disapproval action would not trigger sanctions under section 179 of the Clean Air Act but does trigger an obligation on EPA to promulgate a Federal Implementation Plan unless the State of Nevada corrects the deficiencies, and EPA approves the related plan revisions, within two years of the final action. Updated as of May 29, 2018 Pursuant to the Clean Air Act (CAA), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is approving a revision to the Payson portion of the Arizona State Implementation Plan (SIP) submitted by the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality on January 23, 2012. This revision consists of the second ten-year maintenance plan for the Payson air quality planning area for the national ambient air quality standards (NAAQS) for particulate matter less than 10 microns in diameter (PM 10). EPA is approving this plan based on the conclusion that the plan adequately provides for continued maintenance of the PM 10 NAAQS in the Payson area through 2022. EPA is taking this action pursuant to those provisions of the CAA that obligate the Agency to take action on submittals of revisions to SIPs. The effect of this action is to make the State's continuing commitments with respect to maintenance of the PM 10 NAAQS in the Payson area federally enforceable for another ten years.
