Book Agglutinative Information

Download or read book Agglutinative Information written by Shinji Ido and published by Otto Harrassowitz Verlag. This book was released on 2003 with total page 132 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book analyses 'incomplete sentences' in languages that utilise distinctively agglutinative components in their morphology. In the grammars of the languages dealt with in this book, there are certain types of sentences which are variously referred to as 'elliptical sentences' (Turkish eksiltili cumleler), 'incomplete sentences' (Uzbek to'liqsiz gaplar), 'cutoff sentences' (Turkish kesik cumleler), etc., for which the grammarians provide elaborated semantic and syntactic analyses. The current work attempts to present an alternative approach for the analysis of such sentences. The distribution of morphemes in incomplete sentences is examined closely, based on which a system of analysis that can handle a variety of incomplete sentences in an integrated manner is proposed from a morphological point of view. The linguistic data are taken from Turkish, Uzbek, Japanese, and (Bukharan) Tajik.

Book Agglutination Complement Neutralization and Inhibition

Download or read book Agglutination Complement Neutralization and Inhibition written by Curtis A. Williams and published by Academic Press. This book was released on 2014-05-10 with total page 489 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Methods in Immunology and Immunochemistry, Volume IV: Agglutination, Complement, Neutralization, and Inhibition provides information pertinent to direct and indirect agglutination reactions. This book covers a variety of topics, including complement-fixation procedures, isolation of complement components, hemolytic intermediates, complement-related proteins, and neutralization reactions. Organized into three chapters, this volume begins with an overview of test-tube agglutinations that are preferred for blood grouping with saline agglutinins that require more than a few minutes for agglutination. This text then describes blood group antibodies that agglutinate red blood cells suspended in saline. Other chapters consider the classical pathway of complement utilization. This book discusses as well the complexity of events leading to hemolysis of erythrocytes by complement. The final chapter deals with the ability of antitoxin to neutralize diphtheria toxin and explains the quantitative relationships between antigen and antibody. This book is a valuable resource for immunologists, scientists, and research workers.
