Download or read book Papa Kilo Part 1 A True Story from a Susi Air Pilot in Indonesia written by Dan Richworth and published by Dan Richworth. This book was released on 2019-11-24 with total page 240 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: HOW DID I BECOME A PILOT FOR ONE OF THE WORLD'S MOST INFAMOUS AIRLINES? "This book is the first of a three part trilogy based on my experience as a bush pilot flying for Susi Air in Indonesia. For 4 years I’ve flown Cessna Grand Caravans in one of the most challenging environments for aviation in the world. This book features the good stories, the bad stories, and the down right unbelievable stories. I must confess, I’ve spent a very long time deciding whether or not to publish this book. Here’s the thing…I’m now a Boeing 737 Captain for a major European airline, and unsurprisingly, I value my career very much. So publishing a book about these bush flying adventures (and occasional mishaps), isn’t necessarily going to impress my current employers...or future employers for that matter. You could perhaps describe publishing this book as “career suicide”. This somewhat undesirable situation of losing one’s career, might just explain why I’m the first Susi Air pilot to publish a book like this. Yes, the sensible thing to do would be to keep my mouth shut. Just stay under the radar and avoid any adverse consequences to the career that I have worked so hard to get. But how could I keep the greatest adventure of my life to myself? I needed to write this book. This isn’t just my story. This is the story of every pilot who was f*cking nuts enough to come fly for Susi Air. Needless to say, the real identities of both myself and my colleagues at Susi Air will remain anonymous in this book. I have no doubt that some Susi Air pilots, both past and present, will know exactly who I really am. However to any of those pilots reading this book, I do ask that you keep my real identity private, much in the same way that I have kept your real identities private in this book. All of the stories in this book are real. Only the names have been changed."

Download or read book Fusion Part B written by Edward Teller and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 2012-12-02 with total page 542 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Fusion, Volume I: Magnetic Confinement, Part B is the second of the two-part volume that covers the complexity and application of controlled magnetic fusion. This part is composed of nine chapters and begins with a description of the heating methods, equilibrium, and stability of linear magnetic fusion systems. The next chapters deal with the principles, configuration, and application of high-beta stellarator, fast-linear-compression fusion systems, and ELMO Bumpy torus, as well as the magnetic confinement of high-temperature plasmas. These topics are followed by discussions of the neutral-beam injection; the regimes of radio-frequency heating of magnetically confined plasma; and the performance requirements of magnetic fusion reactors. The final chapters describe the basic processes in the fusion-fission fuel factory and some basic considerations for advanced-fuel reactors. This book will be of great value to physicists, physics students, and researchers.

Download or read book Microeconomic Theory And Applications Part I written by Agarwala S K and published by Excel Books India. This book was released on 2008 with total page 256 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The concept of Microeconomics revolves around the behaviour of market. The answers of questions such as, how prices are determined and what leads to change in the prices so determined provide the subject matter of microeconomics. This book is an effort to bring together all the related topics in a careful manner. The book provides an extensive approach towards the concepts of demand and supply, product pricing, elasticity of demand and supply, marginal utility, etc. The book is divided into twelve chapters. It has been developed keeping in view the requirements of graduate level students, as the book covers the syllabus of microeconomics, as prescribed for the BCom (Hons) I year course of the University of Delhi. The book is written with the objective to supplement the classroom teaching. It has been written in a manner as if lectures are being delivered. Given at the end of each chapter are the University examination questions, with solutions to the numerical questions at the end of the book. The book would prove to be equally useful for all microeconomics courses at the graduation level across all the universities in India.
