In 1787, Elias Earl (1762-1823), direct descendant in the fifth generation, married Frances Wilton Robinson and moved to establish the town of Centerville on land that became Anderson County, South Carolina. The home plantation became known as Evergreen. Descendants and relatives lived in Virginia, South Carolina, Mississippi, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico, California and elsewhere.
