Book Africa the Land of Shem

Download or read book Africa the Land of Shem written by Minister Koko and published by . This book was released on 2023-09-26 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Africa is the Land of Shem is a book that details compelling evidence that the African continent, not Asia or Asia Minor (Middle East or Levant), not the Americas, not Europe or Australia, but Africa, is the true land of the children of Shem. Who is Shem? Shem is a son of the Biblical patriarch, Noa (Noah), and an ancestor to the patriarch, Abram. The land he inherited was and is Africa. Africa was originally called Alkebulan or the Land of the Blacks, the Mother of Mankind, and the Garden of Eden. The word comes from Arabic and various indigenous African languages. Alkebulan was used by the Moors, Nubians, Numidians, Khart-Haddans (Carthaginians), and Ethiopians. The word Africa was introduced by Europeans and came into Western use through the Romans after the three Punic battles (264 BC to 146 BC). The word Africa was initially used to refer only to the northern part of the continent. The Europeans influenced the change of identity from Alkebulan to its present name. For identity purposes, we recognize and utilize Africa. This is the land that was gifted to the House of Abram, Isaaka (Isaac), and Akobe (Jacob). This book reworks the narrative of the Bible using the continent of Africa as the center point and the geographical locations within the scripture and pinpoints them on our modern-day landscapes. We will do this through all events up to the Assyrian and Babylonian captivities, and again the Roman captivity. Our goal is to show all the Biblical events that took place on the African continent, which we call the Land of Shem. Additionally, the Kingdoms of "Yasharal" (Israel) and Yawada (Juda), we will show were initially planted in the land of Canaan, which is everything south of the imaginary line that goes from modern-day Gabon, the southern half of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, all the way through Kenya. The book you are about to consume will be truly revelatory and will bring much-needed enlightenment, inspiration, and a general joy to all Africans on the continent and in the diaspora. This work will also bring relief and happiness to all the world in regard to the necessity, beauty, and rich history of the earth's greatest continent, the Land of Shem.

Book All the People in the Bible

Download or read book All the People in the Bible written by Richard R. Losch and published by Wm. B. Eerdmans Publishing. This book was released on 2008-05-13 with total page 587 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "More than any other book, the Bible offers an amazing collection of fascinating characters ranging from the holiest of the holy to some of the most depraved scoundrels imaginable. Many are mentioned only in passing, yet history and archaeology can often fill in the blanks and flesh them out as exciting human beings. For this reason we have in many cases been able to tell much more about them than the Bible alone reveals." -- Richard R. Losch (from the preface)A comprehensive gathering of persons found in the Bible, including the Apocrypha, All the People in the Bible really delivers on its title: literally all of the Bible's characters appear in this fascinating reference work. From the first article on Aaron to the final entry on Zophar, Richard Losch details each person in a lively narrative style. The bulk of the book consists of Losch's A-Z articles covering the familiar and the not-so-familiar figures in Scripture. Names of people who are found only in genealogies or who had no significant effect on history are included solely in the alphabetical listing starting on page 452. That listing, "All the People in the Bible and Apocrypha," includes pronunciations, brief identifications, and biblical references. Persons covered in greater detail in the main part of the book are identified in bold print.Losch's intriguing look at all the people in the Bible is anything but a dry reference work. This is a book to dip into and enjoy over and over.

Book Africa the Origin of Life and Black the Color of God

Download or read book Africa the Origin of Life and Black the Color of God written by Tiebet Joshua and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2016-03-24 with total page 142 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: THE BOOK: Africa: The Origin of Life is a 10-year painstaking research on the Bibles story of mankinds cosmogony of which 7 out of the 10 years spent on the research were on full time basis. The Bible says that God created one man in the beginning and went ahead to describe the location of the habitation of the first man. Two important issues in the Bibles story were of great interest to the Author for which he set out to research. These were: ? If the Bible story were taken to be true, it then means that the multi-races and colors in humanity today only came to be years after the creation of the first man, which means that originally, humanity only had one race and color from that man to a certain point in its history. That being so, what was the original color of that man? In other words, was he a Caucasian, a Mongolian, a Negro or an Amerindian and when did the multi-races and colors of people that we have today come to be? ? The earth has gone through so many changes through earthquakes, landslides, tumults, ocean drifts and desert encroachments, and etc., over the years since the creation of the first man. Taking all these into consideration, is it still possible to establish the location of Eden where our first parents lived? In other words, was Eden in America, Europe, Asia, or Africa? And if we are able to establish the continent which Eden was located, is it not correct to say that the first man was a native of that continent? ? Africa is poor and backward today, what are the causes of Africas backwardness? Is there any hope for Africa, or has God forsaken Africa? These and more are the salient questions that this book has biblically, scientifically and historically found answers to. The book is highly explosive and revealing. It would cause so much ripples and likely going to change some of your Biblical beliefs.

Book Unsealed Identities

Download or read book Unsealed Identities written by Deborah M. Duewson and published by . This book was released on 2022 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Did you ever wonder how the Euphrates and Tigris Rivers could be in the Middle East when the Bible implies that the Garden of Eden is in Africa? Where are territories like the Negeb, Shinar, Canaan, Galilee, Sodom, and Gomorrah located? The author answers these and other questions through a variety of evidence from the Bible, old maps, current maps, and other sources. Unsealed Identities: Discovering the Untold African Presence of the Bible is a highly researched exploration that takes readers through a graphical geographical journey to locate the true lands of the Bible. Christianity has been taught chiefly from a Eurocentric perspective that has gone unchallenged for too long. Just as there has been a coordinated effort to remove Egypt out of Africa, there has been coordination in removing the faiths of the Bible out of Africa along with its people. While names of people and places have been Romanized, Yah has preserved many geographical names in the region to allow for their discoveries during this time. This reference book, of historic proportions, will reveal biblical places that have been hidden in plain sight throughout Africa. Readers are encouraged to explore the Bible through new lenses and discover the roles which they may play in contributing further to the subject matter. Unsealed Identities: Discovering the Untold African Presence of the Bible hopes to restore the rightful biblical identities to Africa and the dispersed African Diaspora and ultimately reconnect the Bible back to Africa"--Back cover.

Book Postcolonial Perspectives in African Biblical Interpretations

Download or read book Postcolonial Perspectives in African Biblical Interpretations written by Musa W. Dube and published by SBL Press. This book was released on 2024-01-30 with total page 538 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume foregrounds biblical interpretation within the African history of colonial contact, from North Atlantic slavery to the current era of globalization. It reads of the prolonged struggle for justice and of hybrid identities from multifaceted contexts, where the Bible co-exists with African Indigenous Religions, Islam, and other religions. Showcasing the dynamic and creative approaches of an emerging and thriving community of biblical scholarship from the African continent and African diaspora, the volume critically examines the interaction of biblical texts with African people and their cultures within a postcolonial framework. While employing feminist/womanist, postcolonial, Afrocentric, social engagement, creative writing, reconstruction, and HIV/AIDS perspectives, the authors all engage with empire in their own ways: in specific times, forms, and geography. This volume is an important addition to postcolonial and empires studies in biblical scholarship. The contributors are David Tuesday Adamo, Lynn Darden, H. J. M. (Hans) van Deventer, Musa W. Dube, John D. K. Ekem, Ernest M. Ezeogu, Elelwani B. Farisani, Sylvester A. Johnson, Emmanuel Katongole, Malebogo Kgalemang, Temba L. J. Mafico, Madipoane Masenya (ngwan’a Mphahlele), Andrew M. Book Reading the Bible in Australia

Download or read book Reading the Bible in Australia written by Deborah R. Storie and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2024-01-03 with total page 241 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Reading the Bible in Australia invites reflection about how the Bible matters to Australia. Contributors probe intersections between vital debates about Australian identity (who we have been, are, and aspire to become) and the Bible, bringing a range of perspectives to critical themes--indigeneity, colonization, and migration; landscape, biodiversity, and climate; gender and marginality; economics, ideology, and rhetoric. Each chapter explores the past and present influence of a biblical text or theme. Some offer fresh contextually and ethically informed readings. All interrogate the wider outcomes of reading the Bible in different ways. Given the tragic consequences of how it has been used historically, and sometimes still is, some Australians would exclude the Bible and its interpreters from public debate. Yet, as Meredith Lake's The Bible in Australia demonstrates, "a degree of biblical literacy--along with critical skill in evaluating how the Bible has been taken up and interpreted in our history--can only help Australians grapple well with the choices Australia faces." Love it or hate it, there is no getting around the reality that the Bible, and how it is read, still matters.
