Within this framework, the program had three fundamental goals: providing enriched instruction that could accommodate different learning styles, learning by doing that encourages immersion in the educational process, and extending the classroom through frequent field trips and guest speakers. In Actionville, Tedesco describes many of the activities carried out in this innovative thirty-year program, offering inspiration and guidance for turning any classroom into an exciting educational experience.
