Book Acetylene Production from Natural Gas Cost Analysis Acetylene E11A

Download or read book Acetylene Production from Natural Gas Cost Analysis Acetylene E11A written by Intratec and published by Intratec Solutions. This book was released on 2019-09-17 with total page 102 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This report presents a cost analysis of Acetylene production from natural gas using a partial combustion process. The process examined is similar to BASF process. In this process, natural gas is subjected to high temperatures and is converted to acetylene and hydrogen. The heat required by this endothermic reaction is provided by the combustion of natural gas, which occurs at the same time in the burner, in the presence of substoichiometric amounts of oxygen. The Acetylene product is recovered by selective absorption into N-methylpyrrolidinone solvent and subsequently passed through stripping columns. This report was developed based essentially on the following reference(s): "Acetylene", Ullmann's Encyclopedia of Industrial Chemistry, 7th edition Keywords: Methane, Partial Oxidation, Oxygen, Acetylene Burner

Book Advances in Artificial Systems for Medicine and Education

Download or read book Advances in Artificial Systems for Medicine and Education written by Zhengbing Hu and published by Springer. This book was released on 2017-08-19 with total page 357 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book presents an overview of the latest artificial intelligence systems and methods, which have a broad spectrum of effective and sometimes unexpected applications in medical, educational and other fields of sciences and technology. In digital artificial intelligence systems, scientists endeavor to reproduce the innate intellectual abilities of human and other organisms, and the in-depth study of genetic systems and inherited biological processes can provide new approaches to create more and more effective artificial intelligence methods. The book focuses on the intensive development of bio-mathematical studies on living organism patents, which ensure the noise immunity of genetic information, its quasi-holographic features, and its connection with the Boolean algebra of logic used in technical artificial intelligence systems. In other words, the study of genetic systems and creation of methods of artificial intelligence go hand in hand, mutually enriching enrich each other. These proceedings comprise refereed papers presented at the 1st International Conference of Artificial Intelligence, Medical Engineering, and Education (AIMEE2017), held at the Mechanical Engineering Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow, Russia on 21–23 August 2017. The topics discussed include advances in thematic mathematics and bio-mathematics; advances in thematica medical approaches; and advances in thematic technological and educational approaches. The book is a compilation of state-of-the-art papers in the field, covering a comprehensive range of subjects that are relevant to business managers and engineering professionals alike. The breadth and depth of these proceedings make them an excellent resource for asset management practitioners, researchers and academics, as well as undergraduate and postgraduate students interested in artificial intelligence and bioinformatics systems as well as their growing applications

Book Design of a Chemical Plant for the Production of 35 000 Tons yr Acetylene C2H2 by Partial Oxidation of Methane

Download or read book Design of a Chemical Plant for the Production of 35 000 Tons yr Acetylene C2H2 by Partial Oxidation of Methane written by Fatima Wisam Ahmad and published by . This book was released on 2019 with total page 296 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Acetylene is a widely used hydrocarbon in the welding industries. It is also used in lighting, chemical production, and plastics production. Acetylene can be produced from Calcium [sic] carbide and several hydrocarbons such as methane. This research is about the production of Acetylene [sic] from the partial oxidation of methane. The goal of this research is to design a plant that produces 35, 000 tons of Acetylene [sic] per year. The quantities of methane and oxygen consumed are 14, 436.92 kg/hr and 13, 565.37 kg/hr respectively. Oxygen is obtained by using an air membrane that consumes 64, 537.47 kg of air/hr. The acetylene production plant is designed under the inspiration of the Sachasse process and synthesis gas production.

Book Methane Conversion

Download or read book Methane Conversion written by D.M. Bibby and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 1988-03-01 with total page 759 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This proceedings volume comprises the invited plenary lectures, contributed and poster papers presented at a symposium organised to mark the successful inauguration of the world's first commercial plant for production of gasoline from natural gas, based on the Mobil methanol-to-gasoline process. The objectives of the Symposium were to present both fundamental research and engineering aspects of the development and commercialization of gas-to-gasoline processes. These include steam reforming, methanol synthesis and methanol-to-gasoline. Possible alternative processes e.g. MOGD, Fischer-Tropsch synthesis of hydrocarbons, and the direct conversion of methane to higher hydrocarbons were also considered. The papers in this volume provide a valuable and extremely wide-ranging overview of current research into the various options for natural gas conversion, giving a detailed description of the gas-to-gasoline process and plant. Together, they represent a unique combination of fundamental surface chemistry catalyst characterization, reaction chemistry and engineering scale-up and commercialization.

Book Acetylene Gas Its Nature Properties

Download or read book Acetylene Gas Its Nature Properties written by G. F. Thompson and published by Forgotten Books. This book was released on 2017-10-26 with total page 102 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Excerpt from Acetylene Gas, Its Nature, Properties: And Uses; Also Calcium Carbide, Its Composition, Properties and Method of Manufacture The present work originated in a lecture delivered by the Author before the Liverpool Polytechnic Society, the primary Object of which being to make known the properties Of Acetylene, and by pointing out its many and distinct advantages in contradistinction to its supposed dangerous character, remove the suspicion attaching to it, and allay the unfounded and somewhat undefined fears which have been aroused by the occurrence Of a few accidents through its agency. Acetylene, owing to its high value as an illuminant and other valuable properties, is intensely interesting from both scientific and commercial standpoints, but owing to the fact that its real properties are but little known, and that a few accidents have occurred in consequence thereof, reports have been freely circulated as to its being a highly dangerous compound, the result being that it is regarded by the general public with a considerable amount Of suspicion.
