Book excerpt: Avec l'utilisation des technologies de l'information et de la communication, la mission principale d'un enseignant est aussi bien d'enseigner, que de faciliter la transmission de connaissance et le développement. Dans le cadre de cette thèse, notre objectif est de proposer une stratégie d'accompagnement-type pouvant soutenir le développement de l'autodirection des étudiants en formation hybride. La revue de la littérature scientifique nous a permis d'élaborer une typologie des rôles d'accompagnement et un canevas des stratégies d'accompagnement (CSA). Nous conduisons une série d'études de cas pour comparer plusieurs stratégies mises en œuvre dans des formations réelles. Les résultats montrent que l'accroissement du niveau d'autodirection des étudiants est davantage soutenu par la mise en place d'une méthode d'apprentissage actif que par le type de dispositif hybride conçu. Nous observons également que la réussite est liée à cet accroissement. Une stratégie-type est testée dans une formation d'anglais langue seconde et nous constatons que le résultat est généralisable à d'autres contextes d'apprentissage des langues.
