They settled in Pennsylvania, then moved to Abbeville, South Carolina in about 1778 and then to Tennessee in about 1810. William served in the Revolutionary War. He died in 1812 in Williamson, County, Tennessee. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois, Arkansas, Texas and California.
