Book A Wedding with Spirit

Download or read book A Wedding with Spirit written by Gertrud Mueller Nelson and published by Harmony. This book was released on 2006-01-17 with total page 334 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A WEDDING WITH SPIRIT has been written for the bride and groom who are searching for something more for their wedding—not more as in bigger, grander, or more lavish, but more as in more meaningful, gracious, and sacred. Ritual and liturgy experts Gertrud Mueller Nelson and Christopher Witt have helped hundreds of couples plan their ceremonies and in these pages they have distilled their years of experience into some basic principles. Instead of trying to orchestrate “the happiest day of your life” and suffering through catering nightmares, Nelson and Witt help the couple see the wedding as a moment in the larger context of their love. To create such a wedding, A WEDDING WITH SPIRIT offers advice in general principles such as location, participants, symbols, prayers, format, readings, blessings, and music. Sections include: * A look at the history and meaning behind familiar wedding traditions * A walk through the ceremony (including the rites of gathering, the readings, and the exchanging of vows and rings) and the reception * Practical advice for the invitations, the rehearsal, and the programs * Pre-marriage guidance (including pertinent meditations and prayers) to enable the bride and groom to begin their union with a firm footing *Three model weddings incorporating all the principles of A WEDDING WITH SPIRIT A WEDDING WITH SPIRIT ensures that one’s wedding day will be about the sacredness of a committed love between two people, about love’s ability to create and nurture life, and about the faithfulness and hope that such a love gives witness to.

Book Spirit Marriage

Book excerpt: • Presents interviews with ten contemporary practitioners of spirit marriage, exploring how the relationship developed and the opportunities and challenges • Discusses the author’s own spirit marriage, including her awakening as an erotic mystic and her encounters with her Faery beloved • Explains how to cultivate a spirit marriage, sharing precautions and practices to spiritually prepare yourself and navigate the potential challenges of spirit marriage Exploring the phenomenon of the spirit spouse or spirit lover--an entity to which a human is psychically bonded--Megan Rose, Ph.D., examines the practice and purpose of spirit marriage around the world, presenting transcultural evidence of this form of sacred union in anthropological research, religious literature, mythology, folklore, and the oral tradition. She shares her in-depth interviews with ten contemporary practitioners of spirit marriage, including a Faery Seer, a Shakta Tantric, a West African Shrine Keeper, a New Orleans Voodoo Mambo, Haitian Vodou practitioners, and a ceremonial magician. Through these respectful interviews, the spirit-marriage practitioners tell their stories of initiation and of having a spouse who is both otherworldly and able to assist in waking- world activities. They offer intimate insight into this growing global practice and its larger evolutionary purpose. We learn about their experiences of first contact, the decision to marry, how the relationship is upheld by their community, and the impact on their other relationships. We also learn about the risks and challenges as well as one example of divorcing a spirit. Sharing her personal experience, the author discusses in detail her own spirit marriage, including the erotic nature of being “spirit filled” and her encounters with her Faery beloved. She explains how to cultivate a spirit marriage, sharing precautions and practices to spiritually prepare yourself, interpret your paranormal encounters, and navigate the potential challenges of spirit marriage. Presenting the first study of the transcultural, shamanistic practice of spirit marriage, this book shows how bonded relationships with spirits are needed now more than ever to assist with spiritual evolution.

Book The Spirit and the Bride Say Come

Download or read book The Spirit and the Bride Say Come written by Susan Gutknecht and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2015-03-02 with total page 305 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb (Revelation 19:9). What is the end of the age? What is the wedding supper? Are you prepared? Like us, the apostles asked those very questions. In the Bible, the wedding supper refers to what will happen at the end of the age. Jesus answered by telling the apostles the parable of the ten virgins, a reference to those on earth who know about the end of days. He advised the apostles that only half of those who know the end is coming will be prepared; only half of those who know about the end of days will have enough oil to keep their lamps burning through the long night of waiting. The other half will be at the market looking for oil and will miss the coming of Jesus. That would mean half of the people who know that Jesus is coming back are not prepared for his return. We need to gather oil for our lamps throughout our lives through prayer, through reading the Bible. The Holy Spirit was sent to prepare us for the wedding supper. Does God still perform miracles or speak to His people? At the age of four, I clearly heard the voice of the Holy Spirit say to me, You can have joy in your life if you walk with me. This is a personal testimony of how the Lord heals the ones He loves, walks with us, and surrounds us with His peace.

His refutation of Replacement Theology is profound and yet easy to understand. This book answers a lot of questions many prophetic writers are afraid to ask.” —Dr. David Jeremiah As the day of the Lord rapidly draws near, we must appreciate God’s plans for all His people To truly grasp Bible prophecy, we must first understand how God’s promises to Israel complement His vision for the church. While some believe God has forsaken Israel for the church, this goes against the nature of the faithful Lord we find in Scripture. In his latest book, native Israeli and bestselling author Amir Tsarfati makes clear what the Bible says about God’s unique master plans for His two chosen groups, Israel and the church. Amir gets to the heart of key questions, such as… Do the promises God made to the Old Testament nation of Israel still apply to the Jewish people today? Has God replaced rebellious Israel with the church? Now that the church exists, does Israel possess a distinct role in the present age? How are current events in Israel relevant to the church? What should the church’s attitude be toward Israel? Israel and the Church provides a fascinating look at all that God has prepared for His two peoples—and why it’s so relevant to us today!

Book Marriage It S Not Physical It S S P I R I T Ua L Holy

Download or read book Marriage It S Not Physical It S S P I R I T Ua L Holy written by Evangelist Alicia F. Rooks and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2015-02-05 with total page 385 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I was inspired to write the book titled: Marriage, Its Not PhysicalIts Spiritual (Holy) about 12 years ago. After experiencing two unsuccessful marriages, and still having the desire to marry again one day when the Lord allow me to connect with the right person, for real this time then I will be relieved. I pray that this time I will take my own advice, do my homework, and realize that it is not a physical thing, it is Spiritual! I am no marriage counselor, and definitely do not claim to have all of the answers however, experience isI would say a great teacher. You see, some people, they never learn. I pray that this time I could reminisce on what I have gone through realizing that it was not just for me, but on purpose and for others. You see when God has a plan and has a willing vessel that will answer the call then He will allow His will/work to be done through whomever is willing. The key word is willing because a lot of people are not willing. Instead of complaining, I have learned to say, ok, Lord, what lesson do You want me to learn from this? Who would you like me to minister to through my experience of going about marriage that You have designed the wrong way? As others read this book, I know that it would be a life-changing awakening. I believe that hearts/marriages/relationships would be mended, and healed. I know that this is not just another book to pick up and read at your own leisure, but if I must say so myself, it is a book that once you pick it up, you will not want to put it down until it has ministered to you completely!

Book excerpt: While in prison during 1540-42, Riedemann writes for the Lutheran ruler, Philip of Hesse. He explains the Hutterite goal of a renewed community and dispels popular misconceptions. The Hutterites quickly accept the Confession as their own. Riedemann creatively weaves together a fresh reading of the Bible with the classical creeds. He produces a powerful synthesis of Scripture and tradition on which to base Christian community. His dynamic vision of radical and communal discipleship still challenges believers toward greater faithfulness to the Lord and to each other. Riedemann_s Confession gives theological grounding for the Hutterite understanding of economic communalism and offers practical examples of it. This confession still guides Hutterite communities.
