Book excerpt: Time doesnt exist, but timing is everything! Sam I Hamm, Nostradamus Third Anti- Christ - the same Anti-Christ as predicted in the Bible - is learning this the hard way. Its 1998, and hes supposed to be famous as an author by the year 2000 to ring in the new millennium. What to do? Its the Central Intelligence Agency and Albert Einstein to the rescue! President Clinton sends Albert Einstein and C.I.A. Agent Carl Baxter forward in time to 1998 to help the befuddled Hamm studying at Harvards John F. Kennedy School of Government. After Einstein becomes acquainted with Hamm and his friends from Brazil, China, South Africa, and Northern Ireland, Hamm takes Einstein, Baxter and his friends to Mardi Gras aboard a used New York City bus. Hamms two racist New Orleans friends show this group a good time in the Big Easy, after which the group continues on to the International UFO Museum and Research Center in Roswell, NM. There the group learns why the UFO phenomenon is classified, and something else: that Hamm is Hitler reincarnated. Now what? Hamm and Einstein decide to meet Eva Braun reincarnated as the Gen X bombshell actress Laura Harmann and go back in time with her, Baxter, and Hamms friends to interview Hitler living on an Argentine in 1968. Does all this result in a novel and also a speech to be delivered at Harvard in 1999 to ring in the new millennium? Read this screenplay and find out!

Book excerpt: The story opens on a cold and wintry evening in November 1996. Due to bad weather, self-motivated businesswoman Jacqui Ventura finds herself stranded at her workplace. Whilst contemplating her actions she encounters an unusual stranger. Curiosity and trust leads her to invite the man to take shelter in her office, but as she gets to know him better things are not quite what they appear. The entrancing story presented by the stranger, Zorando, seems unlikely. When Jacqui puts the story to the test she is completely unprepared for the result. Zorando is on a mission from the 34th century to take home Shanovia, who has inexplicably travelled back to the 20th century. Through an ingenious plan activated by Shanovia in the 20th century, Zorando, in the 34th century, finds out where she is and how to get her back. The story is told partly by Zorando and partly by Shanovia who tells her story through a hologram recording that Zorando has brought from his own time.

    Book Details:
  • Author : Harold A. Skaarup
  • Publisher : iUniverse
  • Release : 2000-09-04
  • ISBN : 1462047971
  • Pages : 326 pages

Download or read book Visitors written by Harold A. Skaarup and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2000-09-04 with total page 326 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Suppose you could communicate with a visitor who was not from this place, time-space or even this dimension? What would you want to ask them? The answers probably lie in what our own response would be if we were them. This book is based on a collection of interviews I have had with a few individuals who may have actually had such an experience. The idea is that if enough of us are ready to ask the questions and gain the answers, then our collective knowledge and understanding of the "multiverse" about us can only continue to be enhanced. Sometimes the responses that you will read here are similar; often they are diametrically opposed to each other. An open but highly skeptical mind is extremely necessary if you are going to sift through the data that is presented in this book. The intent is that it should peak your curiosity to learn more about "visitors." In this way, we may be better informed and prepared, and thus in some sort of coherent shape to deal with their arrival. If you read this book, you must be well prepared to choose for yourself what you will or will not believe.

Book Time Travel in Popular Media

Download or read book Time Travel in Popular Media written by Matthew Jones and published by McFarland. This book was released on 2015-03-27 with total page 337 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In recent years numerous films, television series, comic books, graphic novels and video games have featured time travel narratives, with characters jumping backward, forward and laterally through time. No rules govern time travel in these stories. Some characters move by machine, some by magic, others by unexplained means. Sometime travelers can alter the timeline, while others are prevented from causing temporal aberrations. The fluid forms of imagined time travel have fascinated audiences and prompted debate since at least the 19th century. What is behind our fascination with time travel? What does it mean to be out of one's own era? How do different media tell these stories and what does this reveal about the media's relationship to time? This collection of new essays--the first to address time travel across a range of media--answers these questions by locating time travel narratives within their cultural, historical and philosophical contexts. Texts discussed include Doctor Who, The Terminator, The Georgian House, Save the Date, Back to the Future, Inception, Source Code and others.
