It is this. Dividing these girls into two classes, - into those who have been at work for a period of time short of the average, and into those who have been at work for a period of time above the average, it is found that the results, in regard to health, are fully as favorable for the latter as for the former. In other words, those who have been longest in the mills are found to be in as good health as those who have recently come from the country. SO much for the monstrous assertion of the Review, that these poor girls, after an average working life of three years, worn out in health, spirits, and morals, and with impaired reputations, when they can toil no longer, go home to die!
