Book Christine s Last Gift

Download or read book Christine s Last Gift written by Bradley S. Humphrey and published by Xulon Press. This book was released on 2012-05 with total page 380 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Christine had shared everything with Jennifer. There was a moment of silence as the two women considered all that Christine had confessed. Jennifer could see that Christine still felt a great amount of love for Bo. "Christine, there is one question you must still be able to answer." Christine knew what Jennifer was pointing to. "Christine, if you see Bo Wyoming again, and he asks you to forgive him for the last twenty-four years, and that he still is in love with you, what will you say?" Christine had considered this very question throughout the last twenty-four years, especially over the past two or three years. She answered Jennifer very slowly as if to think through each word she spoke. "I am no longer a young girl in love with a budding hero. I've seen a lot, I've experienced a lot these past twenty-four years. In some ways, I am happy with my life today. Yet I admit, that I have been lonely for many years. I have never lost my love for Bo even though I have no idea how he feels about me." "But what if he tells you that he still loves you Christine? What will you do then?" "I hope that I am strong enough to tell him that I still love him very much. That I have always loved him and that I have never loved anyone else." Jennifer was pressing now but seemed to realize that Christine wanted to confront what might very well happen. "Christine, if Bo asks you to marry him, will you?" Christine had come to the end of the road. Jennifer was only asking what Christine had dreamed about. "Jennifer, so many years have gone by, and we have lived such different lives." "Christine, will you marry Bo Wyoming if he proposes to you?" Christine knew her answer.

Book excerpt: She's a wedding planner in love with love. She loves seeing couples get married and commit to each other and longs for her own romantic wedding day someday. He's a divorce lawyer who doesn't believe in love. He sees couples as opportunities to make money with prenups before their weddings and as potential repeat business when and if they divorce.Their initial meeting goes from attraction to dislike of one another at a wedding that turns into an unbelievable disaster for her. When they meet again in the future will they be able to put the past behind them and find love together, or will some opposites never be attracted to each other?VIOLAI’m in love with love and I love couples who are in love. They are my bread and butter after all but that’s not why I love them. There’s something so magical to see a couple choose to go into the future together, to face life’s challenges together, and rise above it all to come out on the other side stronger and more in love than ever before.I love it so much that I became a wedding planner. Watching couples young and old committing their lives to each other is something that’s just so special. No couple is the same. There’s something different about all of them that makes each one special.I never get tired of seeing couples stare lovingly into each other’s eyes as they plan, prepare and execute their wedding ceremony pledging their undying love to one another for the rest of their lives.I haven’t got there yet myself but watching other couples keeps my dream of finding Mr. Right alive. But life doesn’t always see things the way we dream of them turning out. It sure didn’t see it my way when he crossed my path.RICKI don’t believe in love. If it really exists why are there so many broken relationships and people in the world? Not that I care... about the broken relationships I mean. After all, they are my bread and butter. And those events called weddings are my hunting ground. After all, people lay the foundation for the demise of their marriage before they’re even married. Prenups and all sorts of agreements are designed to protect their wealth and their assets and force others to stay with them even when they don’t want to anymore. Weddings give couples the right to punish each other when they don’t want to be together anymore for whatever reason. So, when anyone tells you that it starts with a wedding they’re wrong. It starts with a lawyer. And if it ends... well, it ends with a lawyer too. Funny that.Often the people that I work for before their wedding, come knocking on my door a few years down the line. Repeat business. So, love is great and it is for me but just not for me if you get what I mean. When I met the wedding planner she was incensed at the thought that we might collaborate. Other planners have no issue with it. Why she should have, I don’t get it. Normally I would just walk away but the universe seems to have other plans...

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: One Face in a Million is an entirely fictional story evolved over many years. I began thinking about writing a story after I visited southern Africa in 1967, where my wife had been born and raised and was often called Mu Shangaaniana when she was young. I began to formulate a story about a young gal who had been raised on a mission station in Mozambique. She was anxious to leave Africa for America to have a more interesting life. A plot began in my mind, and I envisioned a striking gal to have a life that was quite amazing. She would travel and fall in love, meet notable people, and experience a lot of success. Would that prove to be satisfying? During the years that followed, I was privileged to travel to many places throughout the world, so my story evolved in a way that readers could share in some of my traveling experiences. My protagonist had to decide what was really important in her life. Her story takes place across the span of a few decades; therefore, the story eventually developed into a series of five books which should be considered as one. Because the title is One Face in a Million, I knew her appearance would be of real interest. I looked at images of several notable actresses of the past, but the one that I preferred was of Merle Oberon. Perhaps it would be just as well for any reader to formulate your own ideas of what my characters would look like. Although this is a fictitious story, I hope that it entertains those who choose to read it.
