Depending on the complexity of the problem, a counselor may call in other professionals, such as psychiatrists and social workers. Job prospects are considered greater than average because of a growth in court-ordered referrals to treatment programs. Addiction is an irresistible urge to perform an irrational act and compulsion to dependence. There are 4.2 million pornographic websites, 68 million search engine requests, 42.7 percent of Internet users viewing pornography, and 100,000 websites of pornography. Religious and spiritual features buffer individuals from addictive and risky behaviors. This suggests that religiosity may play a role in beliefs about and the use of pornography. This book will help counselors and experts in the field of Christian counseling education and the interactions they have with clients. Simultaneously, there is certainly room for improvement in the training and preparation of counselors. The purpose of this book is to introduce the topic of training satisfaction, attitude toward pornography, addiction counseling self-efficacy, and the comfort of counselors in discussing sexual issues with clients, particularly Internet pornography.
