Book excerpt: In the first book of the Evolution Wars, the first man to become fully awake is suddenly shocked into becoming awake in the second of two dreams. The first dream was of four passenger jets all sitting on a tarmac at an airport. He saw the airport break up around them, and they all fell into darkness. Three days later, the four jets all crashed in the 9-11 attacks. The second one years later was even stronger, waking him violently from his sleep. This also woke his wife, and he told her he's had another true dream. After trying to get her to believe him by telling her of the first dream years ago, she still did not believe him. In trying to calm him, she said, "Okay, tell me again. I will listen to the whole dream. I promise." With her promise, he reached for her, and when they touched physically, their minds also touched. She relived the two dreams with him in seconds. From that moment on, they could speak to each other's minds without words. He started working on a plan to escape the city as they both saw all the death and destruction coming today. After they merged, he stared calling his family members in town and his sister living in the south. First his oldest daughter, and then he set about getting things ready to flee the city. They were the first to wake up! The earth had been visited by alien races for many years. The two races were at war, and it had come to earth. The crash at Roswell was the result of one of the ships crashing. The government recovered one dead body and three living beings which they had been holding at a secret holding facility in Nellis Air Force Base. Most believe it's at Area 51. The reason they were here was to stop human's evolution. The one race saw them as a threat. So to stop them, they made deals with the government. They gave them access to new technologies, computers, and new aircraft designs. They were responsible for all the modern wonders they lost in their attack. The purpose of their gifts was to give them items that would slow and eventually stop their growth as a race. They also nursed the negative feeling they suffered from hate, bigotry, and many darker emotions to keep them at war with themselves.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: We live in a rational age in which science and modern technology have removed doubt and ignorance. We no longer fear the dark, we no longer need to use superstitious symbols to protect our houses and families. We know what is happening in the world and are in contact with friends and family who might live miles away. Ours is a rational world... or is it? These short ghost stories are not set in remote Scottish castles or haunted Victorian houses. They are about the modern world, places where you would not expect to encounter the supernatural. Just because we can see the world on television, speak with people across the oceans and know exactly what causes natural phenomena, the happenings that so terrified our ancestors, does not mean that ghosts have disappeared. Scientific progress has not buried the supernatural. Children play with long dead ghostly friends, a cruise ship is haunted, a Stuart tragedy reveals its secret in a horrifying way, a married man revisits his past in Florence where he meets his death lured by the ghost of a former lover, a doctor fails to save his wife’s death in a car accident and is haunted to destruction by her spirit, a man is obsessed by a dream, an art dealer steals a painting from an old lady but her ghost returns to pursue him, a man buys a First World War memorial plaque and wished he had never seen it. Reason and logic still dream.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book examines the U.S. space program’s triumphs and failures in order to assess what constitutes a successful space policy. Using NASA and the space industry’s complex history as a guide, it draws global lessons about space missions and the trends we can expect from different nations in the next decade and beyond. Space exploration has become increasingly dependent on cooperation between countries as well as the involvement of private enterprise. This book thus addresses issues such as: Given their tenuous history, can rival countries work together? Can private enterprise fill NASA’s shoes and provide the same expertise and safety standards? Written by a former NASA Aerodynamics Officer at Houston Mission Control working on the Space Shuttle program, the second edition of this book provides updated information on U.S. space policy, including the new strategy to return to the Moon prior to traveling to Mars. Additionally, it takes a look at the formation of the Space Force as a military unit, as well as the latest developments in private industry. Overall, it is a thought-provoking resource for both space industry professionals and space enthusiasts.
