Published in 'Letters, later years.' -- No. 5: Autograph letter, signed, 6 May 1842, to the philanthropist Joshua Watson, from 42 Upper Spring St., London, home of Wordsworth's daughter Dora Quillinan and son-in-law Edward Quillinan. Thanks Watson for his communication. Commends him a charitable project to rebuild the church at Distington, where the incumbent is the Revd Henry Lowther. Wordsworth is in town to assist his son in obtaining a place (i.e. job appointment). This letter has not been published. -- No. 6: Autograph letter, signed, 8 Sept. 1842, to Bishop C.J. Blomfield. Discusses Wordsworth's brother Christopher. Published in 'Letters, Later years'. -- No. 7: Autograph letter, signed, 27 Nov. 1843, to unidentified correspondent. Gives reasons why the correspondent's planned visit to Rydal Mt. must be postponed, and suggests an alternative arrangement. Apparently unpublished. -- No. 8: Autograph letter, signed, 11 July 1844, to George W. Doane, Bishop of New Jersey.
