Without entering into details, I would call special attention to the treatment of the Moods and Tenses, and of the Adverbs, notably the negative ne, and to the many idioms given in different parts of the book. At the same time, the classification of the various subjects, the numerous headings, the frequent subdivisions in the body of the same paragraph, have all been designed with a 'view to add to the clearness of the work; whilst the way in which the Exceptions have been arranged, in a separate column opposite the Rules, will, it is hoped, prove a useful innovation. A companion volume of Exercises will appear very shortly, to be had separately, or bound together with the Syntax.
