Book excerpt: We report studies of semileptonic decays, B → X{sub c}l[nu], based on a sample of 88 million B{bar B} events recorded with the BABAR detector. We have measured four moments of the electron energy distribution and four moments of the hadronic mass distribution, each as a function of the minimum electron energy. From these moments we determine the inclusive branching fraction, the CKM matrix element.

Book excerpt: I present measurements by the CDF collaboration of the Standard Model three generation CKM matrix element V{sub tb} and of a special case extension with additional assumptions, using current Tevatron t{anti t} data. I then show how we can significantly improve the precision on V{sub tb} and at the same time extend the measurement so it is not constrained by Standard Model assumptions, using single top production at the upgraded Tevatron.
