Mary Ann Mathews (1837-1920) was born at Talcott or Hinton, West Virginia and migrated to Kansas with her father in 1855. Joseph J. and Mary Ann were married in Shawnee County, Kansas, in 1857. They had eight children, 1858-1883. Joseph J. Kopp died in Shawnee County. Chiefly lists descendants of their son, Albert Elliott Kopp (1858-1948) and his wife, Elnora Antrim Kopp (1861-1931) who lived in Kansas, California and elsewhere.
