Book A Fifteen somite Human Embryo

Download or read book A Fifteen somite Human Embryo written by Humio Mizoguti and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 81 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Histological observations of human embryos hitherto have been carried out using paraffin sections of 5 to 10 μm thickness, stained with the H-E method or simply with carmine. Because of the thickness, cells are arranged in 2 or 3 layers in one section and the histological details are not always clear. This book provides detailed morphological features of a very well preserved human embryo with fifteen somites. The sections are about 0.75 μm thick and stained with toluidine blue. The thinness of sections and clearness of staining reveal the histological details of this embryo very accurately. A complete set of high quality photomicrographs are presented for each of the selected sections. The high resolution of the photomicrographs will enable easy comparison with the literature. The clear presentation in this book of embryonic development is increasingly important and highly relevant for in-vitro fertilization, and thus of interest to reproductive biologists as well as anatomists.

Book The Anatomical Basis of Mouse Development

Download or read book The Anatomical Basis of Mouse Development written by Matthew H. Kaufman and published by Gulf Professional Publishing. This book was released on 1999-03-03 with total page 306 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Anatomical Basis of Mouse Development by Kaufman and Bard is an essential anatomical resource for developmental biologists needing to know about any aspect of mouse developmental anatomy, as well as for geneticists using the mouse embryo as a model. This book is a companion to Kaufman's The Atlas of Mouse Development and details the developmental anatomy of the early embryo, the transitional tissues, and all the major organ systems. It also includes extensive reference indexes detailing developmental stage criteria, when tissues first appear, and the constituent tissues of embryos at each of the 26 Theiler stages, as well as tissue and author indexes and a glossary. Key features: * Gives anatomical descriptions from oogenesis to birth at a level of detail that often goes beyond that found in the literature. * Provides detailed explanations for geneticists and molecular biologists with limited anatomical background to help them understand the emergence of all the major structures in the mouse embryo. * Contains comprehensive indexes detailing the appearance of over 1000 organs, tissues and their components at different stages of mouse embryogenesis, together with the Theiler developmental stages (1-26) at which each first appears. * Includes comparisons with normal and abnormal human development * Has over 100 clear line diagrams showing mouse developmental anatomy as well as lineage relationships for the major organ systems. This book will be a key reference work for anyone who needs to understand developmental anatomy in normal and mutant mice.

Book Building the Most Complex Structure on Earth

Download or read book Building the Most Complex Structure on Earth written by Nelson R Cabej and published by Newnes. This book was released on 2013-04-01 with total page 313 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Building the Most Complex Structure on Earth provides readers with a basic biological education an easy and understandable introduction into a new epigenetic theory of development and evolution. This is a novel theory that describes the epigenetic mechanisms of the development and evolution of animals and explains the colossal evolution and diversification of animals from a new post-genetic perspective. Modern biology has demonstrated the existence of a common genetic toolkit in the animal kingdom, but neither the number of genes nor the evolution of new genes is responsible for the development and evolution of animals. The failure to understand how the same genetic toolkit is used to produce millions of widely different animal forms remains a perplexing conundrum in modern biology. The novel theory shows that the development and evolution of the animal kingdom are functions of epigenetic mechanisms, which are the competent users of the genetic toolkit. Provides a comprehensive view of the epigenetic aspects of reproduction, development, and evolution. Highly rigorous, but simple enough for readers with only a basic knowledge of biology.

Book An Atlas of the Human Embryo and Fetus

From the preembryonic and embryo stages to the development of the skeleton and striated muscle, organogenesis of the heart, and development of external genitalia, it provides authoritative answers to the most frequently asked question about the human embryo. With its plethora of outstanding photographs and images, experienced embryologists as well as clinicians and students can compare historical ideas with photographic reality.

Book Anatomy Embryology Histology Vol 4

Download or read book Anatomy Embryology Histology Vol 4 written by Brijendra Singh and published by Scientific Publishers. This book was released on 2016-09-01 with total page 193 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The ultimate aim of any teaching system is to produce the best scholars & the best professionals in the today's scenario with futuristic approach so that when given a chance they must be able to exhibit their past knowledge. To verify or quantify this knowledge the student/scholar has to undergo certain exam. Nowadays the best exams are supposed to be those having Multiple Choice Questions i.e. MCQ's as integral part because of two important reasons, First easy to conduct & uniform evaluation for all students, that is no bias, Second MCQ's checks memory/recall memory/ reasoning & ability to be precise in terms of reading /understanding and speed with ability to record answers with accuracy too. The book on this subject “Exam Success Review ANATOMY MCQ's- Volume-4, Embryology & Histology for Medical Students – MBBS 1st Prof & PG Entrance” will be helpful as a companion for fast revision during examination and will help them certainly to secure full marks in the Multiple Choice Questions in examination. I must let you know that MCQ's make about 20% to 40% of total marks in the 1st prof. MBBS exam and anybody who knows the con-cepts and art to answer the MCQ's is going to be winner not only at MBBS level but also at various Postgraduate entrance Examinations at national & state level to get the PG Course of their choices.
