Book excerpt: Let Your Dreams Take Flight is a compilation of stories from Moms who dared to dream. Not just dared, but fought to make their dreams come true! Fighting beyond the emotional pain and scars of abandonment, neglect, sexual and physical abuse, financial distress, grief and such trauma. Holding and keeping secrets while carrying the weight of the world, friends, family, children, coworkers, friends... from childhood to motherhood to purpose. These four Moms were yet empowered to push through their pain to experience living life full out in their dreams, gifts, purpose. But ultimately, Let Your Dreams Take Flight is a story of the JOURNEY to finding out their true purpose and doing everything possible to fulfill it every day since the discovery. You, too, are more than just a Mom! You have dreams, inspirations, aspirations, passions, gifts, talents, skills, intellect beyond boundaries. There are no limitations to what any of us can do, because we are creative beings. Each of us... and it doesn't matter what "hat" you are wearing, i.e. mother, wife, sister, daughter, friend, coworker. At the core of you lies a dream, which is not a dream at all. It only feels like a dream because it is big and scary. That's how you know exactly what you are called to do. It's a journey, and once you have accepted it, everything else will fall in line. These authors' message is clear: Don't Quit! There is more for you to do... seek it, find it, do it!

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: General aviation encompasses all the ways aircraft are used beyond commercial and military flying: private flights, barnstormers, cropdusters, and so on. Authors Janet and Michael Bednarek have taken on the formidable task of discussing the hundred-year history of this broad and diverse field by focusing on the most important figures and organizations in general aviation and the major producers of general aviation aircraft and engines. This history examines the many airplanes used in general aviation, from early Wright and Curtiss aircraft to the Piper Cub and the Lear Jet. The authors trace the careers of birdmen, birdwomen, barnstormers, and others who shaped general aviation—from Clyde Cessna and the Stinson family of San Antonio to Olive Ann Beech and Paul Poberezny of Milwaukee. They explain how the development of engines influenced the development of aircraft, from the E-107 that powered the 1929 Aeronca C-2, the first affordable personal aircraft, to the Continental A-40 that powered the Piper Cub, and the Pratt and Whitney PT-6 turboprop used on many aircraft after World War II. In addition, the authors chart the boom and bust cycle of general aviation manufacturers, the rising costs and increased regulations that have accompanied a decline in pilots, the creation of an influential general aviation lobby in Washington, and the growing popularity of “type” clubs, created to maintain aircraft whose average age is twenty-eight years. This book provides readers with a sense of the scope and richness of the history of general aviation in the United States. An epilogue examining the consequences of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, provides a cautionary note.

Download or read book Mr Zuko Takes Flight written by Michel Faure and published by Blurb. This book was released on 2015-11-30 with total page 54 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Michel Faure could be relied on by his two young daughters to tell them fabulous stories. One of their favourites was spun into being in the summer of 1983, when the family was vacationing in Maine. It tells the story of Mr.Zuko, whose love of balloons sweeps him into an unexpected adventure, and of his talkative parrot Mimi, who goes along for the ride. They travel up and up, and when they finally come down, they discover new friendships and fun with exotic animals. Eventually, though, they realize there is no place like home. Back in Montreal, Michel wrote down his story and Joyce Borenstein was inspired to create illustrations for it. In 1984 and subsequent years, the book was offered to publishers in the United States and Canada. Then in 2009, Disney/Pixar released the movie UP. A legal battle ensued that was resolved by an out-of-court settlement. Now Michel and Joyce have decided to share Mr. Zuko's story, which ultimately proves that time has no effect on dreams."
