In fact, we seldom can see a weekly newspaper, either in town or country, without reading some ridiculous transaction or violent assault upon the life of individu als, by those infected with this spirit of fanaticism. The extravagant and ridiculous actions of the Ranters, the Jumpers, and the Revivalists, would almost per suade as, that the above charge against the Primitive Christians, was not altogether groundless, at least, not improbable.
